Therapy building in the 300 block of Caves
Hwy. at 11:37 a.m., but an employee reas-

and relaxed.

11:42 a.m.
*Josephine County Sheriff’s Office
(JCSO) assisted Oregon State Police (OSP)
with a man who was threatening hunters
with a handgun at 11:55 a.m. The show-
down at Soldier Creek and Briggs Creek,
at the end of Illinois River Road, ended
peacefully by 1:41 p.m.
*A woman lost her cell phone at a
craft festival on Aug. 8 in the 18200 block
of Redwood Hwy. When she called her
number, a man answered and claimed he
bought the phone at Walmart, and down-
loaded an app to text for free. It just hap-
pened to be her cell phone number that he
was using. They agreed to meet at 3 p.m.
at Walmart, but he surprisingly enough
did not appear. The cell phone company
was notified, and service to the cell phone
was discontinued. (No more text for free,
rollover minutes do not apply.)
*At 12:29 p.m., a 1990 silver-col-
ored Toyota 4Runner was reported stolen

of Land Management had possible suspect
information, and a report was filed for
unauthorized use of a vehicle.
*JCSO pulled over a vehicle at N.

vehicle parked four miles past the swinging
bridge at the end of Illinois River Road on
the McCaleb Boy Scout Reservation.
*Squatters were rousted from

vacate, and all property left behind would
be seized. Carrie Lynn Thom, 45, was
detained at Josephine County Jail on a
warrant for possession of meth. Luke
Landcaster Combs, 36, was cited in lieu
of being detained. His brush with the law
involved a fugitive warrant out of Grants
Pass Department of Public Safety.

appeared to be flagging down traffic at
the Illinois River Bridge at Hwy. 199 and

guy was actually just waving.

delivered at 3:31 p.m. in the 300 block of
Clear Creek Road.
*A gal in the 100 block of Lamont
Way has dealt with a neighbor harassing
her for years, but the level of aggravation
increased when the guy banged on her
window at 4 a.m. She will obtain a stalking
order because she thinks he has a mental
illness which is causing him to act errati-
cally.
Outside the Valley
*Two dozen situations.
Wednesday, Oct. 12
*Sounds of a machine were heard
during a 911 call from the 24000 block of
Redwood Hwy. at 9:21 a.m. A father stated

daughter vacuuming.

Thursday, Oct. 13
*JCSO wasn’t mething around with
a couple of speed freaks on Thompson
Creek Road at 10 a.m. John Hergenrether,
40, had a bag of meth and an unused
needle in his pocket, and admitted to us-
ing two days before. He was detained at
Josephine County Jail on a parole detainer
for possession of meth. Aliya Horton, 33,
was cited into federal court for possession
of meth.
*A deputy conducted an investiga-
tion in the 7100 block of Rockydale Road
at 11:24 a.m.

Old Stage Road at 10:44 a.m. The tallest,

because there is a lot of criminal activity at
the residence where the chicks went.
*There was a domestic violence
incident reported in the 200 block of Millie
Street at 11:55 a.m. When the guy left to
go for a walk, they locked the door behind
him. He was last seen sporting a black shirt
with white skulls and camo pants. Appar-
ently he did hit the woman, but she did
not need an ambulance. She decided that
she did not want to provide the jerk’s full
name or date of birth, so the incident was
claimed to be unfounded as a crime.
*A manager in the 24500 block
of Redwood Hwy. phoned 911 regard-
ing a disorderly dude with a black dog at
3:36 p.m. The bully was wearing a plaid
shirt and shorts, and he kept getting in
people’s faces and trying to cause fights.

would not hesitate to use it.

dale Road reported a trespasser banging
on an outbuilding at their property at 8:35
a.m. Apparently some gal had dated their
son for a few days, until a month ago when
she pulled a knife on him. The parents
believe that she has been stalking him. The
lulu was not being violent, but she refused
to leave and started making threats at 9:20
a.m. OSP approached her at the end of
their driveway, where she was trying to
get her vehicle started. The parents were
not aware that their son had invited her
back. She had been staying at his house for
two days, but she parked in the neighbor’s
driveway. She packed her belongings and
was advised not to return.

ly through the park. This was not an actual
trespass, more of a driving complaint.
