Reader response to readers
I felt the need, if not for balance, to respond
to Dennis Hoke and Robert Hirning’s separate
op/eds of late, from an outsiders perspective, al-
beit having a lot of years in the area as well. Let’s
just say for starters that sometimes perception IS
reality, especially to a ‘non-native’. Not seeing
the forest for the trees (or pot plants) comes to
mind.
To put succinctly as possible (which is and
isn’t easy) too many here are living in a Fool’s
(Gold O’Pot) Paradiso. Well, enjoy it while it
lasts, because you ARE now officially part of The
Cartel---THAT much IS certain.
Careful what you ask for. Resistance is fu-
tile, and apparently unnecessary...or isn’t it? Let’s
see, you’ve got hyper-regulatory types running
THEIR game upon the MOST Reg-resistant of
types: Outliers, hippies, pot growers, et al. Now,
how can that end well at all? Hmmmm...why it
can’t, of course, you sillies. In fact, it’s gonna get
VERY ugly fairly damn soon---it’s already well
on it’s way.
You free range fools have put yourselves
squarely in the noose, consigning voluntarily to
Uncle Sam’s Animal Farm. Moreover, you have
internecine and resolute differences between in-
door vs. outdoor growers. What Pot snobbery,
bias? Not all happy campers? Hey, concomitant
with MJ----wanton greed and arrogance. The
worst part, actually, is that they ARE institution-
alizing it and, ergo, y’all. Hey, Hey the County
Commissioners are openly in on the deal. Even
the airport advisory board is paving the way, why
else would they have put that fence up a few years
back. Why not? There’s already a military-length
runway...can you say Mena, Arkansas?! Just ask
the Billiary (i.e., the Clintons)
Do you not realize that the gov’t has the
patents on all of the MJ strains? Oh, yes...build
up to break up...and down. Once recently, same
day, I saw a truck trailer at a soil place, as well
as a Mercedes van at the post office---both from
Texas. Geez, I wonder what they’re doing here?
This region, and THIS area in particular, IS in fact
attracting the riff-raff from across the U.S of A. It
IS becoming the Amsterdam of North America...
not good: Dennis correct; Robert clueless...well,
he is from Takilma...just kidding.
And speaking of fences, THEY are requir-
ing y’all to build these fences AND to monitor
your on-goings, even down to counting mites on
plants, from what I’ve heard. Maybe THEY have
multi-uses planned for those fences, hmmmm...
lot of ‘fences’ going up, even while national bor-
ders are going down...
So short term gain, long term pain? Well,
the ‘pain’ is already here, in the conspicuous
forms of greater discord, car ‘accidents’, car jack-
ings/abuse/abandonments, arson, murder, and
even ..bomb threats?!? It isn’t gonna improve in
the direction that it’s clearly heading.
CJ is already rated the worst city in Oregon;
GP is #5, so they shouldn’t talk, but they do...the
bigger, ugly, meaner sis picking on her smaller,
even uglier sib...but who really cares, right? And
the trouble is that it shows. Too many believe that
they’re grabbing the brass ring, when in point of
fact it’s just the key link in the chain that’s being
used to bind you.
It won’t be getting better ad infinitum, be-
cause when the market for pot gets glutted, there
WILL be a culling...and then maybe all of those
compound fences will start to serve other purpos-
es. Can you say, ‘Pablo Escobar’?
State of Jefferson? At this rate, much more
apt to be Bogota, Cal-Ore-gone! God Bless The
New World Disorder.

White Lies Matter
All Lies Matter! Remember when many
Republicans and far fewer Democrats would not
vote for a liar? Old man President Bush promised
“no new taxes” then his establishment friends
convinced him to raise them anyway. His lie cost
him a second term!
Bill Clinton was such an amiable “good
ole boy,” his occasional deviations from the truth
were easily forgiven.
GW Bush certainly seemed to lead us astray
with his promise of weapons of mass destruction
that did not exist in Iraq.
President Obama lies eloquently and he
started out with a bang. There were few truths is
his sales pitch for Obamascare. Of course his on-
going “misstatements” from red lines to paying
millions of dollars in unmarked currencies other
that American to Iran, he said was for decades
old debts but some hostages were released when
the secret unmarked plane with the cash landed
in Tehran. Just like a ransom except Obama also
said “we don’t pay ransoms.”
Hillary lies with alacrity, but not every
day, she restricts her lies to campaigns and inter-
views.
Do you believe when all the candidates on a
debate stage agree to support any of the others if
they win and they do not do it, they lie?
Do you know what they call a party that
unites under one banner after a hard fought pri-
mary victory? Winners!
Do you know what you call a party that
believes like Mitt Romney and his purists estab-
lishment friends, they would rather let Hillary
win than support their parties nomination? Your
rig ht!!

Bankers in my pocket!
Did you know if you use Evergreen bank in
Grants Pass your account can be frozen for weeks
by a third party client without notification? This
is what happened to us, stranding us at the Pilot
Truck Plaza. We have money in our account we
cannot access because of a third party. We feel
this is robbery or at very best theft! We call Ev-
ergreen bank this morning to ask why their web
site confirms our funds yet our card was denied?
They tell us the Pilot Truck Stop has placed a
hold on our account. No explanation and no ac-
cess to our money until Thursday. We cannot go
to the festival we were going to stream this next
weekend as our funds are frozen. If this is now
bank policies then I would strongly recommend
that you check with your personal bank and see
who really owns your money.
I am not through with this so be prepared
to hear much more about it!!! Oh and this would
also apply to your smart-phone transactions. Do
you really want third party companies control
your access at a whim? We use banks to avoid
having to have our cash available to theft from
criminals....so much for that idea!
