*At 9:51 a.m., a deaf man
requested help from Speedy Mart
employees, who enlisted the aid
of a hearing-impaired relative to
translate. A hoodlum with a history
of burglary and assault broke into a
house in the 300 block of S. Caves
Avenue. A copy of the no-contact
order was emailed to the deputy.
The crook took a laptop, tried
to steal a car and left before law
enforcement arrived.

couple were relaxing and dancing
to a good band at a bar in the 100
block of S. Redwood Hwy. They
noticed an underage minor in the
bar, and alerted the bartender and
door man to the situation. The
minor’s sister was unhappy that
her sibling had been ratted out, and
threw a glass of alcohol, hitting the
informer near her eye. A cat fight,
complete with punching, rib-kicking
and hair-yanking ensued. Reports
will follow for fourth-degree
assault, with a referral to the district
attorney for second-degree assault.
Surveillance video will be obtained

because his caretaker is a transient
