TALES...
CONTINUED FROM A-7
*At 2:43 p.m., law
enforcement officers were unable
to locate a car at the end of E. Fork
Street that had been reported by
BLM.
*Teen-age boys were racing
a dark brown Datsun pickup truck
up and down N. Old Stage Road
by Madrona Drive. The teens were
yelling and looking for their lost
dog that jumped out of the truck
at Shop Smart. They nearly hit a
mother pushing a stroller at 4:46
p.m.
*Shuffling sounds were heard
during a 911-call from Crooks
Creek Road at 5:22 p.m.
*A woman was physically
fighting and trying to get out of
a gray mini-van with California
license plates. The van was last
seen heading up Caves Hwy. at
5:24 p.m., but attempts to locate
the vehicle failed.
*It was difficult to determine
if yelling and background noises
from a 911-call were a disturbance
or some type of sports activity. The
call originated from 520 W. River
Street at 6:17 p.m., and it may have
been students in the gym.
Outside the Valley
*There were 27 log entries.
Thursday, April 7
*At 11:07 a.m. a friendly
citizen flagged down JCSO in the
400 block of Caves Avenue, just to
say hi.
*All was calm in the 100
block of Ollis Road at 11:20 a.m.
*Some kind of investigation
occurred at E. River Street at N.
Junction Avenue at 11:30 a.m., but
everything apparently turned out
OK.
*Peace reigned at the Forks
State Park at 1:07 p.m.
*Information was obtained
at 1:22 p.m. at Finch Road and
Westside Road, and at 1:51 p.m. at
205 W. Watkins Street.
*Christopher Luna was
transported from Prottsman Way
and arrested by Oregon State
Police for warrants from Curry
County at 6:12 p.m.
*A tan passenger vehicle
crashed into the ditch at milepost
1 on Westside Road at 2:44 p.m. It
was gone by 4:32 p.m.
*A woman who was evicted
from Terrace Drive went back
to get her stuff at 4:50 p.m. An
eviction process must be followed,
and the woman’s possessions were
placed into a shed until she can
retrieve them.
*The ex-manager of a
business in the 200 block of N.
Redwood Hwy. was yelling and
being disorderly at 5:55 p.m. Five
people were blocking customers
from coming into the store. An
agreement was reached to return
equipment to the proper owners,
and the store was secured.
after the vehicle rolled over, and
all serviceable parts had been
removed. The vehicle identification
plates (VIN) plates had been stolen
from what was left of the vehicle.
*License plates that had
apparently been switched were
removed from a vehicle with a
punched ignition. The suspicious
car was parked in front of a
hotel room in the 400 block of S.
Redwood Hwy. at 12:59 p.m.
Outside the Valley
*There were 22 log listings.
Saturday, April 9
Outside the Valley
*A man with a sword was
trying to gather his belongings
from the 24500 block of Redwood
Hwy., but he felt threatened by his
ex-roommate’s brother who had a
baseball bat. (Is that like bringing a
knife to a gunfight?)
*Everything appeared fine at
Eight Dollar Mountain at 3:07 p.m.
*A messy camper was cited
for trash and litter at the Store
Gulch campground at 3:11 p.m.
*SOS alarms were set off in
the 200 block of W. Palmer Street
at 5:43 p.m.
*Nineteen incidents logged.
Outside the Valley
* Twenty incidents logged.
Friday, April 8
*A woman phoned OSP
because an anonymous caller
told her they had seen her stolen
1995 white Bronco in the vicinity
of Schumacher Street and River
Street. At the time, the Bronco was
still moving.
*An ADT alarm may have
been triggered by a tech working
on Laurel Road at 9:25 a.m.
*All seemed fine on
Pinewood Way at 12:02 p.m.
*Two weeks ago, a guy said
the cab of his truck was still in
the 3400 block of Deer Creek
Road. The dark purple car cab
was pinched down several inches
Sunday, April 10
*An eagle-eye spotted a
certain vehicle in the area of Ken
Rose Lane, going down Cascade
Lane on April 8, but the message
was not received until April 10 so
the bad guy got away.
*Lake Selmac area was
checked, all was serene at 11:35
a.m.
*A vehicle was recovered in
the 200 block of W. Lister Street at
11:52 a.m. The driver side window
had been broken with a rock.
*At 12:42 p.m. a shady person
on Shadowbrook Drive violated a
restraining order.
Page A-9
*Two atypical customers
ventured into Diggin Livin and
stuffed their pockets with rolling
papers and a RYOT square
(roll your own tobacco leaf
plug grinder). The alert cashier
confronted the bicycle bandits,
and obtained video footage of
the merchandise being pocketed.
One of the burglars answers to
“Beaver” and has an extremely
large stretched-out left earlobe.
*At 1:38 p.m., there was a
trespasser who had cut a hole in a
fence and started a fire on private
property in the 18200 block of
Redwood Hwy. Marcus Allen
Yeoman, 35, was charged with
second-degree trespass and cited to
appear on May 9.
*A woman with blond hair
may have been grandma-age, but
she didn’t act like a grandmother
by pulling a knife on a kid at the
skate park at Jubilee Park. The
boy who phoned 911 then stated
that the large knife was in her
pocket, but he doesn’t think she
would have stabbed him. When
law enforcement contacted others
at the skate park, they did not see
anything like this happen.
*Some poor guy on Deer
Creek Road found himself in an
awkward situation, with scratches
on his neck and back to prove
it. He and his girlfriend started
fighting, and her visiting sister
became angry and hit him with a
rock while his back was turned.
Since the sister is a guest of his
girlfriend, he cannot force her
to leave. He was advised of his
options. (Don’t fight with your
girlfriend?)
*Occupants of a blue Mini-
Cooper were taking photos of a
truck and house in the 400 block
of Madrona Drive at 3:03 p.m.
When asked what they were doing,
the driver rolled up her window,
shrugged her shoulders and drove
away.
*There was a possible
restraining order violation on
Warren Road regarding custody
following a relationship break-up.
There was no evidence of a crime,
however, and the complaint was
filed by a third party not affiliated
with the mutual restraining orders.
*A Taurus PT-709 semi-
automatic valued at $400 was
stolen from a car on Green Valley
Drive either April 6 or 7. The
woman suspects that it is the jerk
that she is living with who took it,
because he had stolen a gun from
her last year too. Plus they had a
verbal and physical argument that
morning. (Which could explain
why he took her gun.)
*A bald, skinny, younger
guy in dirty clothes was spotted
at Oregon Discount Gas in a gray
1982 GMC Sierra which had been
reported stolen from Home Depot
in Klamath Falls. He was last seen
headed down Lone Mountain Road
at 5:19 p.m. A photo of the thief
was given to law enforcement.
*Someone on S. Junction
Avenue had nothing better to do
with their time than to prank call
911 four times just to curse at the
call-taker.
*At 5:55 p.m., some thin
fellow in a dark T-shirt and
baseball cap was in a smoking shed
in the 24300 block of Redwood
Hwy. The loon was talking to
himself and pounding on the wall.
*A mini-van was down the
embankment at Lakeshore Drive
and Reeves Creek Road at 5:55
p.m., but it was not considered a
road hazard.
Outside the Valley
*Items logged totaled 18.
