Thursday, May 19
* Approximately $700 worth
of damage was done to a 2000
Dodge Dakota that was backed
into in a parking lot in the 200
block of S. Redwood Hwy.
Based on the location of the
damage to the middle of the
tailgate, the Dakota was likely
hit by a full-sized pickup.
Friday, May 20
* A black VW bug was parked
in front of the doors at Bi-
Rite Auto Parts at 10:43 a.m.
and the locked vehicle was
registered to Thomas G Ramos,
of Vernal, Utah, but there was
no phone number listed or any
way to contact him to move
the vehicle.
* Seven people were drinking
alcohol on the sidewalk at
the corner of Lister St. and
Redwood Hwy. at 1:12 p.m.
Joseph David Ainsworth was
warned regarding trespassing
at that location.
* Brandon Cain was detained
at the Josephine County Jail
for a probation violation at
Illinois Valley High School.
but felt something criminal
might happen because of low
staffing levels. She claimed
that there might have already
been a few fights.
* John Stanton Schroeder was
transported to Three Rivers
Hospital after his arm was
trapped under his vehicle after
a rollover in the 1900 block
of Thompson Creek Road at
9:20 a.m. Schroeder was cited
for no operator’s license and
failure to maintain lane.
Saturday, May 21
* Someone stole a stock Ford
spare tire with wide hubs and
a $400 estimated value from
a 1989 Ford F150 in the 300
block of Caves Hwy. The
spare tire was removed from a
bracket under the vehicle.
* Three men were fighting at
the first bridge coming from
Grants Pass, just past Caves
Hwy. at 12:12 p.m. The two
white men and one black man
without shirts were shoving,
having a fist fight, not paying
attention to traffic and talking
about getting drugs.
* An alarm went off in the 300
block of Caves Hwy. at 5:53
p.m., and the door opened
when the responding man put
his key in the door, but nothing
seemed to be missing.
Sunday, May 22
* Chastity Pinedo was detained
on May 17 and released May
18 from Josephine County
jail with conditions of “no
contact with victim in person,
by phone, mail, email or text”
after instant messaging a man
on Facebook.
* An intoxicated anonymous
caller from Central Point
wanted to make sure law
enforcement was aware that a
certain CJ drinking location did
not have a bouncer on duty that
night. She stated she did not
know anyone there that night,
* Robert James Harrison went
into St. Matthias Episcopal
Church with a bloody nose
and abrasions on his face at
3:46 p.m. Law enforcement
spoke with three people at
the homeless camp near the
church who said that Harrison
was assaulted by a female, but
they forgot who she was.
* Daniel Grebisz, 24, was
charged with failure to appear
on driving while under the
influence of intoxicants after
he was flushed out of hiding
in bushes at the end of a
driveway in the 1600 block of
E. McMullen Creek Road.

* Two people were outside
smoking at the ‘Secret Trailer
Park’ on Caves Hwy. when a
neighbor came out and started
harassing them and calling
them vulgar names.
* Two prowlers in the Frontier
cable switching station yard in
the 100 block of E. O’Brien
Road took off running when
they heard someone rack a
round in his gun and tell them
the next sound they would hear
is “bang, bang.”
Monday, May 23
* A woman with a shotgun
was home with her 12- and
14-year-old children when she
saw someone with a flashlight
on her property at 4:47 a.m.
She turned a light on outside
her residence to scare the
prowlers away. The woman
recently had two visitors with
numerous tattoos who were
behaving suspiciously and she
thought people were trying to
steal her ‘68 Buick Skylark.
She planned on calling to
schedule a deputy to come out
and talk to her about crime
prevention.
* A man was out of control at
11 a.m., throwing trash cans
into the street in the 9300
block of Takilma Road and
attempting to steal a neighbor’s
lawn mower. Law enforcement
warned the man regarding his
behavior.
* A man said he has had a
mining claim on Fiddler Gulch
called “Piglet Placer Claim”
for the past five years, and
someone put another claim
sign over his claim saying
“Arnold Zimmell group”.
* Otis Jones was booked at
the Josephine County Jail after
being arrested for disorderly
conduct at the clinic in Takilma
near the Dome School at 12:24
p.m.
* A man was convicted of
animal abuse and sentenced
in November of 2010 to 18-
month court probation. Part of
his condition of release is that
he have no contact with his
victim. He may have violated

* 3:32 p.m., powerline problem, 4000 block

* 4:34 p.m., M.A., 100 block N. Kerby Ave
* 7:32 p.m., M.A., 100 block S. Boundry
* Several shots were heard near
Sucker Creek, where there is a
history of juveniles shooting
automatic weapons.
* Lori Elizabeth Robinson
was arrested for a parole
violation for first-degree theft
and possible meth possession.
Larry Allen Knutson was
detained at Josephine County
jail for failure to complete the
terms of probation for unlawful
possession of meth and fourth-
degree assault.
Wednesday, May 25
* David Michael Drew,
Charles James Vile, and
Charles Defieft Brooks, all
intoxicated, were advised of
disorderly conduct complaints
and agreed to keep the noise
level down for the rest of the
evening at their gathering at
West Stevenson/Hussey Ave.
* At 9:09 a.m. a woman
entered a store in the 33000
block of Redwood Hwy. and
requested that an employee
call 911 because someone was
throwing rocks at her. The
woman did not appear injured,
was wet and muddy, and left
the store when the employee
* A man who carries a large
knife in a sheath on his right
hip was cited for driving while
suspended at 2:38 p.m. at the
Cave Junction 76 gas station.
* Someone living in the Pine
Ridge Estates in Kerby reported
that her brother was growing
marijuana in his bedroom. She
requested deputy contact and
her brother was warned about
possession of a controlled
substance. Less than an ounce
of marijuana was destroyed on
scene.
* A woman jogging in the
700 block of O’Brien Road at
1 p.m. was bitten on her left
buttocks by a big, brown, stray
dog with short hair that jumped
over a fence from a neighbor’s
house.
* Mutual harassment started
over a shared driveway on
Lister Way and escalated to a
man threatening that he would
just drop his neighbor right
there with a shotgun.
Thursday, May 26
* A bear was trapped in a
garage in the 3200 block of
Lakeshore Drive, while a
husband and wife were locked
inside the house, calling the
Oregon Department of Fish
and Wildlife.
* Approximately ten people
in their late teens or early
20’s were drinking, yelling
obscenities and having a bonfire
in the 300 block of Caves Hwy.
They were advised of the noise
ordinance, and they stated they
would keep the noise down.
Friday, May 27
* A water rights dispute
escalated to the point that
a man threatened to kill his
neighbor.

Even
though
Jason
Dangerfield was evicted from
the 500 block of Caves Hwy.,
he was back, driving fast up
the roadway and peeling out
in his large black truck at 7:41
p.m.
Saturday, May 28
* A tall white man wearing a
white hoodie and white ball
cap knocked on a window of
a house in the 1900 block of
Caves Hwy. at 1:18 a.m. The
prowler was easily located a
short time later because he
was snoring so loud. Joe Ray
Evanow was in a deep sleep
in the back of a Toyota truck
parked in a driveway in the
1900 block of Caves Hwy.
just before 2 a.m. He thought
he was at a friend’s house and
they were just not letting him
inside.
* An evicted tenant broke
through the sheriff seal on a
door in the 500 block of Caves
Hwy.
* A man reported riding his bike
from Lake Selmac to Selma
before he may have blacked
out because he lost his bike.
He said he had been looking
for his “Giant” silver mountain
bike, worth approximately
$700-800, for the past 48
hours. He said he would try to
find his serial number and call
back law enforcement.
* Someone has been blowing
up items, lighting off bombs
or creating loud explosions,
several times during the last
few weeks somewhere in the
28000 block of Redwood
Hwy.
* There was a very aggressive
German Shepard in a two-tone
brown pickup with a camper,
parked in the 500 block of
Schumacher all day long.
Although there was no food or
water visible, the dog appeared
to be okay.

The cell-phoneless lass stated
there is a feature on her phone
that allows her to locate it, but
that feature was not working
when she needed it.

so she needed to talk to law
enforcement.
