All persons listed are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law Charges can be amended or dismissed.) *** Friday, May 6 * Aaron Joel Lumen was taken into custody for domestic harassment following a disturbance on Crooks Creek Road. Lumen stated he was having a problem with his dog and that he’s going to sue the sheriff’s office for harassment. * A suspicious man with a backpack was walking on Hayes Hill and acting strange, but when deputies drove through the area, there was no problem observed. * At 10:46 a.m. a man in a dark-colored car parked at Rough and Ready Creek Park then got out and walked off into the woods naked. He must be rough and ready to stroll naked through poison oak and blackberry bushes. * The sheriff’s office is developing a plan to address the issue of camping on county land behind St. Matthias Episcopal Church. * Jamie Ericsson, an ex-student at IVHS, has been trespassed from that location. * Reaching out to touch someone with his Air Touch Communication’cell phone, a guy is making obscene phone calls to a woman on W. Watkins Street. Law enforcement officers are attempting to ID the owner of the cell phone and pursue harassment charges. * Four park visitors on Reeves Creek Road complained about a blonde female in a black Suburban who was driving very erratically through the park, speeding around Lake Selmac and doing donuts in the parking lot in the early morning hours. * A runaway juvenile with a pierced lip, wearing a brown jacket, was located at Kerby High Pines trailer park and transported back home. * Someone entered a pump house without permission, cutting locks to gain entry, then cut pipes and removed the pump valued at $350. The thief then replaced the broken lock with a new one. Saturday, May 7 * Ten people were fighting and throwing punches in a “major fight” just after midnight in the parking lot of a drinking establishment, according to a 911 caller. When law enforcement called to check, an uncooperative woman answered and said there were no problems. One patron had a black eye and minor cut to his face, but he declined medical treatment and said he fell down and that is how he obtained injuries. * Six or seven guys were listening to loud music and smoking marijuana at Lake Selmac until 2:18 a.m. when they were asked to shut it down for the night. All camp sites were quiet upon law enforcement arrival. * A 14-month-old child was at first believed to have a head injury, due to her altered mental status. She was lethargic, had a 103-degree fever, fluid coming from ear and sporadic eye movement. The child might have meningitis. * Robert Alvin Althoff, 88, passed away in the 200 block of Whispering Pines Lane. * A woman requested an Amber Alert for a horse trailer with California plates that was removing horses from the 2200 block of Harbeck Road. The would-be horse rustler turned out to be under written contract to care for the horses, which were underweight and in need of food so he retrieved them and was en route to the Grange for necessary supplies. Sunday, May 8 * After being bitten on the leg by a medium-sized dog in the 200 block of Honeybee Lane, a woman told animal control officer that she went walking out of her back gate and she was confronted by the dog. She said she tried yelling to get the dog away and also tried kicking the dog to get it away. But she was close enough to her house and got inside the gate before the dog could get to her. * While a man on Chapman Creek Road was outside burning brush, he heard a gunshot go off very close and a bullet hit approximately two feet away from his feet. He showed deputies the area where the incident occurred, then seemed comforted to hear that nothing seemed to indicate anything did occur. * A woman walking down Forest Creek Road said a man came out of woods and screamed he was going to come down and kill her with a gun. He then offered her a gun so they could have a shootout. Investigation determined the incident was unfounded as a crime and it appears to be mutual dispute over dogs. Both parties were counseled over their behavior. * Despite photographed injuries including a bite mark on her back, a woman continues to love her husband. She did speak with a women’s crisis line, but refused to provide information on the assault, stating she does not remember what happened. The argument occurred in a house where all the mirrors and a lot of glass was broken, including a broken bong on the front porch which was disposed of. * Awaking to a black mass “busting against” the back door just after midnight, Danny Nichols saw a large bear trying to get into the laundry room area of his house in the 2600 block of Caves Hwy. Deputies were unable to locate the hungry bruin. Wednesday, May 11 * Covered in and out with dried mud and dirt, a stolen vehicle was found off Laurel Road on a dirt road near IVHS. Jerry’s Towing removed the vehicle, which was hung up in brush, 150 yards down the bank. Although the plates were gone, the vehicle Tag RTL247 was previously entered in TOWS file on May 11. * The Smith & Wesson Model 19 gun reported stolen from the 8800 block of Deer Creek Road was located, and had been misplaced instead of stolen. * A man in the 4800 block of Holland Loop Road received a phone call from a restricted number, asking if he had puppies for sale. When he said he didn’t have puppies for sale, the caller threatened him by saying he was a liar, he didn’t like liars and was going to kill the man. Wouldn’t it make more sense to just call the pound and adopt a dog from there? * Extremely loud alarms sounded at 9 p.m. near the Secret Trailer Park in the 900 block of Caves Hwy. Thursday, May 12 * A woman in the 100 block of Hathaway Drive phoned 911 to make a report because someone stole her pliers. * Jimmy Richard Delzell and David Michael Drew were cited for criminal trespass II, and Robin Elizabeth Sliger was warned for trespass in the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 4:19 p.m. * Roger Russel Hamilton was cited into CJ Municipal Court for failure to obey a traffic control device in the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy. * Joseph Ainsworth was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant charging criminal trespass at E. Watkins Ave. and Caves Ave. at 6:11 p.m. * A white Ford Ranger with a canopy and a possibly intoxicated driver was reported swerving southbound at Hayes Hill summit. No license plate was available, and OSP were unable to locate the vehicle. * Kassondra Johnson was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants with a reported blood alcohol content of .30 at Holland Loop Road at Caves Hwy. at 9:25 p.m. Friday, May 13 * No units were available at 2:31 a.m. when a business owner in the 200 block of S. Redwood Hwy. was concerned about being broken into again due to prior incidents. The store owner stated there were a lot of people walking around in the area from the bars. * A tree was leaning and getting ready to fall across the road in the 7200 block of Rockydale Road, before the 6-mile marker on right side heading towards Waldo. Public works stated that the tree is hung up in another tree, and since it doesn’t appear the tree will fall across the roadway at this time, they will work on tree removal next week. Tree falling on Takilma Time. * A woman at W. Lister Street and N. Kerby Ave. was warned about yelling and glaring every time a certain female drove by her house to get to work. * Elizabeth Meghan Keagy was arrested on charges of first degree burglary for stealing a Sony Playstation 3 and a laptop valued at $3,000. * Music from an unidentified address in the 400 block of Brittany Lane was so loud that it was said to be shaking another house. When warned about the noise ordinance and asked to turn the music down, they agreed to shut if off even though it was only 6:52 p.m. * There was a Honda Accord in the lane of traffic at Lakeshore Drive and Redwood Hwy. at 8:14 p.m., and it was unclear if there was a medical problem, because the guy in the driver’s seat had not moved. Thomas Joseph Wilson, Jr. was arrested, charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants with a reported blood alcohol content of .11 percdent. * Tina Campbell was warned regarding trespass and stalking at 3:29 p.m. * An all-white Nissan Pathfinder was reportedly swerving all over the roadway starting at milepost 17 on Redwood Hwy. The licence plate did not match the vehicle description; it came back as totaled and expired. Where’s the Alarm?
