Failure to Appear Warrants
Issued 04/18/11 through 04/24/11
Updated April 25, 2011
Each FTA warrant costs our
county approximately $800,
calculated
conservatively
based on court operation costs,
deputy salary and attorneys’
fees. That amounts to $2.4
million a year.
As such, Sheriff Gilbertson
has determined that FTA
warrants should be publicized
in order to aid our office in
locating these offenders and,
consequently, cut costs.
The following subjects
have FTA Warrants, meaning
they failed to appear in court
on previous charges.
If you are listed below, you
can take care of your warrant
by coming in to:

* A rollover motor vehicle
accident in the 2000 block of
Rockydale Road at 1:15 a.m.
closely followed a 911 call for
an unoccupied stolen vehicle
in the 100 block of N. Junction
Ave. At 1:05 a.m. A very upset
Ishta N. Maanamatt stated that
she had been sleeping and
woke up to find her black two-
door 1987 4-Runner was gone.
Maanamatt was cited for filing
a false police report.
* At 2:04 a.m. a 90s style
Jetta “blew by” the crash site
on Rockydale at a high rate
of speed. John Thomas Bare,
17, was cited for failing to
maintain a safe distance from
an emergency vehicle and
careless driving. What looked
like a handgun sitting on the
front passenger’s seat turned
out to be an air soft gun that
looked real. A hookah and
small amount of marijuana
were seized from the vehicle
and destroyed on scene.
* An alarm sounded at 5:28
a.m. when someone took the
“Illinois Valley Open Door”
sign literally.
* Who set off the Sportsman
Tavern alarm at 10:48 p.m.?
Monday, April 18
Barreras, was intoxicated at 11
a.m., hanging out in his usual
spot in front of the County

* Joseph Mason, wearing a
red hat that said, “Santa I’ve
been bad,” was out of control,
picking fights in the 300 block
of McMullen Creek Road.
* Jason Dangerfield was
warned regarding his driving
behavior after he swerved
his vehicle towards a woman
twice, splashing water all over
her.

unknown man urinating in
front of Cave Bear Pawn at
12:35 p.m.
* Not only were people in the

home to listen to it, which
was quite annoying to the
neighbors.

propane tank in the 1800 block
of Crooks Creek Road, but a
man with a firearm told him
to “get off his property right
now,” so he did.

already in custody at the JoCo
Jail, when he was arrested for
failure to appear on possession

the 400 block of Dick George
Road at 6:46 a.m. There were
no injuries or property damage,
so the property owner pulled
the vehicle out of the ditch.

off the bus on Gamay Drive
and destroying flowers by
tromping instead of tiptoeing
through the tulips.
* A man on Redwood Hwy.
was very concerned about his
girlfriend, who had just heard
splitting wood, and promptly
brought the child back inside.
* Two dangerous dogs were

to prevent it in the future.

use of a weapon, menacing
and reckless endangering after

named Alan after an argument
in the 8000 block of Takilma

Fortunately, the news turned out
to be just a misunderstanding
via text messages, and both
sisters were fine.
* Michael Wayne Rummel,
58, did not want to go to Three
Rivers Community Hospital in
the ambulance, so the driver
gave him a ride back home so
that Mrs. Rummel could drive
him instead.
* Michael Timothy Bellah, 27,
was charged with four counts of
restraining order violations for
continuing to send unwanted
text messages.
* Scott Robert Porter, 49, took
his girlfriend out to dinner, but
that doesn’t count as a medical
emergency for someone with
a revoked license. Porter was
cited for speeding 62 mph in
a 45 zone and for driving with
a suspended license. And his
vehicle was impounded. What
a way to impress a date.

To send us your news items, advertising, and obituaries and birth announcements. When your
advertisement in the “Illinois Valley News” arrives in someone’s home or business it’s because
that someone paid good money to get it. That is to say it is wanted. It has value. That’s why
readership of a paid subscription publication is, by industry standards, figured to be 10-times
that of a free distribution or direct mail publication. Almost all advertising works but when it
comes to reaching the people that live and work in, and travel through Illinois Valley, nothing
comes close to the “Illinois Valley News.”
