Summer YCC Jobs Available at Oregon Caves
Announcing two and up to four enrollee posi-
tions are available at the Oregon Caves Na-
tional Monument in the Youth Conservation
Corps (YCC) program this summer.
The YCC is a summer employment program for
young men and women, ages 15 through 18,
who work and learn together by participating in
conservation work on public lands. Successful
candidates will earn $8.40 per hour (Oregon
minimum wage). No housing is available. All
participants must bring a lunch and be able to
provide their own transportation to and from
the Monument. Work hours are 8:00 a.m. to
4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday, except Federal
holidays. This four to eight-week job opportunity
is offered from June 14 - August 6, 2010.
Applicants must be in good physical condition.
This work can be challenging, yet adventurous,
as well as strenuous, hot, dirty and sweaty. If
regular physical activity is not already part of an
applicant’s lifestyle, they are strongly discour-
aged from applying.
