Cougar Jasmine Pricket fared well on the course, as she was the highest Cougar finisher at 14th of 53 runners, with a time of 24:34.39. The Elmira County Fair Classic was held at the fair- grounds in Veneta in Lane County on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Ms. Hearn was born April 24, 1946 in Eugene, Oregon to Andrew E. and Nina Belle Hisel. She spent most of her years in Eugene, Selma and Gold Beach. She worked as a waitress in restaurants and deli- catessens. She was a free spirit, who enjoyed crafts and celebrating most holidays with costumes. Survivors include two sons, Mel Gary Hearn of Cave Junction and Lance W. Hearn of Selma; two sisters, Terri Hughes of Forest Grove and Victory Tobias of Riverside, Calif.; three brothers, Barton Hisel of Arp, Texas, Clayton Hisel of Ashville, N.C. and Curtis Hisel of Coos Bay; and seven grandchildren.
