Junction Avenue was logged. *A group of some 10 transients, men and women, were hanging out alongside a business in the 200 block of S. Redwood Hwy. An em- ployee didn’t feel comfort- able asking them to leave. *A man was transported from a Laurel Road residence to Three Rivers Community Hospital after an alleged pur- poseful methadone overdose. *At 8 p.m. a man re- ported having suffered a pos- sible broken arm when he was assaulted by another man at a Downtown CJ bar. *A caller stated that a driver on N. Junction Avenue was smoking his wheels and endangering children with his driving habits. *Overheard on E. O’Brien Road was a man saying, “Go ahead and shoot me if you want the cops to come.” They came, but found nothing. *A caller from Squaw Mountain Road at 7:44 p.m. said that drivers were racing around creating dust and ex- cessive noise. *David B. Coles, 45, was lodged in county jail on a charge of fourth-degree do- mestic assault after it was reported that he’d locked his ex-wife out of the house. Wednesday, Sept. 2 *No logs available today. Thursday, Sept. 3 *“I see you” was spray painted on the side of the DMV office building on S. Kerby Avenue, a caller stated at 10:44 a.m. *A possibly intoxicated driver rear-ended a tow truck on Redwood Hwy., a caller said. No JCSO deputies or OSP officers were in position Monday, Aug. 31 *Fireworks were heard, then smoke detected in the 900 block of Caves Hwy. at 12:05 a.m. *A motion alarm was triggered at a Downtown Cave Junction establishment at 3:04 a.m., but no one re- ported anything suspicious. *At Illinois Valley Fire District Station 4 on Holland Loop Road a motion detec- tion alarm was triggered at 10:29 a.m. *Gunshots and yelling were heard coming from a Rockydale Road location. Individuals located at a shoot- ing range were all fine. *A well-behaved black Lab was found on Junction Avenue. Animal Control re- trieved the retriever. *A white, four-door ve- hicle was said being driven recklessly on Redwood Hwy. at 3:12 p.m. It turned onto Lakeshore Drive, the caller said. *After a report of a break-in at a Draper Valley Road residence, Brandon Mitchell Kinsey, 16, was lodged at the Juvenile Justice Center in Grants Pass on charges of first-degree bur- glary, first-degree theft and second-degree criminal mis- chief. *In the 7000 block of Caves Hwy. at 10:39 p.m., Marisa May Bynum, 29, was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license. Health & Well-Being (cont.) to respond. *After she took photos of waste left on her property, those responsible threatened to burn her house, an O’Brien resident said. Several people were warned against trespass- ing on the property. *A motorhome said fully involved in flame set fire to a small patch of wildland off Redwood Hwy. just south of the Oregon/California state line.
