A funeral service was held Saturday, April 5 at Selma Baptist Church with Pastor Monty Pope officiating. Inter- ment followed at Deer Creek Cemetery in Selma. Mrs. Nadow was born on Nov. 17, 1936 in Huron, S.D. In 1954 she graduated from Van Nuys High School in Van Nuys, Calif. On June 9, 1956 in Van Nuys she married George Nadow. From 1954 to 1958 she was an administrator at Valley College in Van Nuys. From 1958 to 1996 she worked as a medical reception- ist for a Dr. Thordarson in West Covina, Calif. For two years she was an assistant vol- leyball and track coach at Edgewood High School in West Covina. In 1998 she moved from California to Selma, and volunteered as a coach at Illinois Valley High School in 1998 and 1999. She was a current member of Selma Baptist Church and a prior member of Bridgeview Community Church. Her hobbies included camping, downhill and cross- country skiing; and playing volleyball. She especially loved Good Shepherd Lutheran Church On Wednesday, April 16, Lutheran Women of Illinois Valley will meet at 1 p.m. at the home of Jackie Wright. The Church Council will meet the same day at 7 p.m. All-Comers Sunday School begins at 9:15 a.m., followed by worship. After His resurrection, Jesus Christ made it clear that he was the Savior come to save mankind, not raise arms. Just as He had to re-educate those in His time, so do Christians today have to let others know of salvation. Nicole Horn Nicole Lynn Horn, 14, of Kerby, a freshman at Illinois Valley High School, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 in Selma as a result of an automo- bile accident. Nicole was born on June 1, 1993 in Sanger, Calif. to Brett Horn & Michelle Blankenship. Chaz Lindsay A memorial service for Chaz Lindsay will be held Sat- urday, April 12 at 1 p.m. at Illinois Valley Praise Center (the former drive-in theater) on the south side of Cave Junc- tion. Lindsay, the son of Johnna & Steve Anderson, and Wade & Kathy Lindsay, died in a car crash in Selma on March 27. At the memorial, friends and family can gather to celebrate his life.
