Dome School students
have been studying Greek
mythology. They wrote
their own myths and have
been studying about the
constellations and their
relationships to Greek my-
thology. To culminate their
studies on the ancient
Greek myths, the children
made elaborate dioramas
of Greek gods and god-
desses depicting some of
their adventures. (Photos

Each Friday, Saturday,
Sunday, Tuesday and Wednes-
day at 7 p.m. Emanuel Baek
from New York has sparked
our interest in Bible prophe-
cies. He will continue on Satur-
day at 9:30 and 11 a.m. to
bring “America in Prophecy”
to the forefront of our think-
ing. Tuesday at 7 p.m. he will
present “Storacles of Proph-
ecy” at the church, 265 S. Old
Stage Road in Cave Junction.
Daughters of Praise
thrilled our hearts with its close
harmony last Saturday. Their
concert of sacred music was
enjoyed by all. They will pre-
sent another concert soon.
Soloists with His Song,
Dahnn & Joney Haining, will
favor us with their music Fri-
day at 7 p.m. just before the
seminar meeting with Baek.
Each Saturday the 20-
voice Sanctuary Choir from the
Cave Junction church has in-
spired us with its lovely music.

Mr. Farley was born on
Sept. 27, 1943 in Carthage,
Mo. to Robert & Carolyn Far-
ley. In 1961 he graduated from
high school in Mount, Minn.
He attended college in San
Francisco for a year. In 1972
he moved from California to
Takilma, where he founded the
food co-op in Takilma.
In 1976 he and his wife,
Elisabeth Goines, co-managed
the Wonder natural food store
and bulk herb distribution for
3½ years. From 1980 he owned
and operated Hope Mt. Herb &
Natural Food Distribution. He
was a member of the Takilma
Food Co-op since 1980.
Some called him the great-
est fan of Illinois Valley High
School Cougar sports. His hob-
bies included golfing, basket-
ball, football, and gardening.
He enjoyed record collecting,
especially jazz, rock ’n’ roll,
Members are under the direc-
tion of Miguel Vasquez, who
arranges many of their special
sacred choral presentations.
Each Tuesday the Com-
munity Services program on
the church campus continues to
give large boxes of foodstuffs
to needy families; more than 50
this past week. Clothing and
blankets are distributed from 9
a.m. to noon; food boxes from
1 to 3 p.m.
The “Quit Smoking” class
continues every Tuesday in the
Fellowship Hall. The special
verse in Phil. 4:13, “I can do all
things through Christ Who
strengthens Me,” provides the
guide words for each day as
participants choose to not
smoke. Many victories are
being won. Praise the Lord.

“He is risen! He is risen!”
Sometimes it sounds like these
words represent a surprise,
even though Jesus said that he
would rise from death.
No one should be sur-
prised: Jesus said, and he still
states, that he was sent by his
father in Heaven to be crucified
and then resurrected to save us
from our sins.
