Autumn Respiratory Problems -- Prevention
● Mold and wet rot. Extremely toxic, must be cleaned
and removed. (Ideally, not by the ill person!) Have you
seen the DEQ wearing moon suits on investigations?
● Smoke, dust, carpets, animals, woodstoves. Clean
carpets, vacuum often, brush animals and properly seal woodstoves.
Pine and cedar smoke are toxic.
● Air filters (with ozone), powerful vacuums, tile floors (bare floors
are the easiest to keep clean), exhaust fans (to keep rooms dry).
● Fresh air. Keep a window cracked at all times.
● Reduce clutter. Key to reducing dust and air toxins. Seal storage,
and store books in closets or cupboards.
Most importantly, if you have breathing problems, do not wear scented
products! There are many different types of breathing problems in TCM.
Treatment is effective to heal conditions at the root.

Dog bites on youths traumatic

the United States, was founded, and grammar school be-

Every year, 4.7 million
persons in the United States
are bitten by dogs, and 60
percent of those affected are
children, with the most se-
vere injuries occurring in
children younger than 10.
That adds up to poten-
tially 2.8 million scars on
children each year from dog
bites alone.
Being bitten by a dog
can be a traumatic event for
anyone. While most dog-
bite injuries are reported on
the arms and hands, children
seen in emergency rooms
for dog bites are more likely
to have been bitten on the
face, neck and head.
Children younger than
10 suffer 65 percent of the
reported dog bites to faces.

An open house will be held at the center, the former Selma Ele-
mentary School, on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 2 to 5 p.m.
