He left this Earth on June 11, 2006 at ap- proximately 6 a.m. and is now in the arms of Jesus. God was the focus of his existence. He was a minister of the Gospel for a good portion of his life. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1941 to 1945 aboard the USS “Portland” during WWII and was a strong supporter of patriotism and freedom for this coun- try. He was an accomplished woodworker and loved working with just about anything me- chanical. Surviving him is Cleo June Murray, his wife of 63 years. She was a loving and de- voted wife and states that the essence of their relationship is that written in Proverbs 5:18, “He was the husband of her youth.” He also leaves behind three sons. Cliff Murray Jr., who had been a missionary in Singapore in the early 1960s where he met his wife, Georgina and has been in the ministry for many years and presently pastors the Four- square church in Ridgecrest, Calif. Cliff Jr. has four beautiful grown children and 15 great grandchildren. Michael Murray is his middle son, who followed in his fa- ther’s military footsteps and was in the U.S. Navy as a Corps- man with the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965 to 1969. John Murray is the youngest son and devoted his life to his parents’ welfare and was always there when help was needed. Cliff Murray Sr.’s brother and sister-in-law are Dr. Fred and Margie Seaward, who have been missionaries in Malaysia for 51 years. Also grieving the loss are his best friends since childhood, Jack and Martha Burgan of Grants Pass. In lieu of contributions or flowers his wish would be that all would love their neighbor as themselves.
