Page 4 Timothy Tworog Timothy Tworog, 54, of Gold Hill, died Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006 while kayaking in Rough & Ready Creek. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 18 at 2 p.m. at McKee Bridge at Ruch. Mr. Tworog was born on Nov. 2, 1951 in Noblesville, Ind. He worked as a tool-and- die machinist. He moved to Oregon 27 years ago from Indi- ana. He enjoyed hang-gliding, and white-water kayaking. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Tworog, of Gold Hill; his mother, Margaret Tworog, of Cicero, Ind.; a son, Nic Tworog, of Central Point; two brothers, Daniel Tworog, of Bend, and Jonathan Tworog, of Cicero; and a sister, Naomi McKenney, of Laclede, Mo. The Oaks family moved to Idaho and then to Montana, where Clare met and married Edward C. Griffith in 1930. They moved and lived in the Los Angeles basin for approxi- mately 25 years. After his death, she moved to Washing- ton state. In 2001 she moved from Washington to Cave Junction to be with her son, Don, and his wife, Hazel. Mrs. Blanchard, a retired beautician, was a member of Illinois Valley Women’s Club. She was also a 60-year mem- ber of Order of the Eastern Star and was Past Worthy Matron. She was a current member in Western Star Order of the East- ern Star in Kerby. She was an avid golfer and played nine holes on her 90th birthday and 4 1/2 on the last day of her 90th year. She had two holes-in-one to her credit. She became a licensed pilot in 1950 and owned her own plane for a time. Survivors are her sons, Donald Griffith, of Cave Junc- tion, and Kenneth Griffith, of Goldendale Wash., 13 grand- children; 26 great- grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild. Gene Drewrey A graveside service for Selma resident Gene Drewrey, 61, who died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006 at Three Rivers Commu- nity Hospital in Grants Pass, was held Monday, Feb. 13 at Deer Creek Cemetery in Selma. Mr. Drewrey was born on June 30, 1944 in Mendota, Calif. He graduated from Esca- lon High School in 1962. He then served in the U.S. Army in Germany, attached to a mo- tor pool as a driver and me- chanic. On Aug. 20, 1966 he mar- ried Christine Singer in Love- lock, Nev. He worked as a truck driver for several con- struction companies, and moved to Selma in 1988 from Riverbank, Calif. Besides his wife, Christine Drewrey, of Selma, he is sur- vived by a son, Bill Drewrey, of Modesto, Calif.; a daughter, Karen Hertler, of Selma; two brothers, Joe Drewrey, of Val- ley Springs, Calif., and Jim Drewrey, of Sonora, Calif.; two sisters, Ann Padgett and Karen Buie, both of Valley Springs; and six grandchildren.
