FORESTRY ACTION COMMITTEE (FAC) received as-
sistance Wednesday, Dec. 14 from members of the
Illinois Valley section of the Boys & Girls Club in pre-
paring seedlings for distribution to valley land owners
with riparian properties. The young people marked
and bagged seedlings, among other chores. Helping
with the work and supervision (top left photo by
‘Illinois Valley News’) were Suzanne Vautier, tree-
planting program coordinator; and Robin Wilson, FAC
office manager, who pitched in to help because of the
absence forestry technician Kristine Miller, who had
been in a traffic accident the evening before. (Other

I.V. Bikers to give away toys
Toys will be distributed to Illinois Valley children
in need Saturday, Dec. 24, from noon to 3 p.m. at I.V.
Senior Center on E. River Street in Cave Junction.
Toys were collected by I.V. Bikers during the an-
nual toy run Dec. 2.
Santa Claus is likely to make an appearance as
toys are given away.

THE CHRISTMAS BASKET PROGRAM distributed food and toys Saturday, Dec. 17 at

FOUR WOMEN WERE HONORED during the Three Rivers School District Board of
Directors meeting Monday night, Dec. 12 at Illinois Valley High School for their out-
standing support of students and going above and beyond the call of duty. They are
