2005 - Former and cur-
rent Illinois Valley resi-
dents filled Cave Junc-
tion during the Fourth of
July weekend to cele-
brate ‘Cougarpalooza’.
Smiles abounded as old
friends and acquaintan-
ces alike reminisced
about old times and
swapped stories. The
annual event filled local
restaurants and estab-
lishments and made CJ a
hub of activity over the
weekend. From Bridge-
view Winery’s new deck
to the Junction Inn’s
Timber Room Lounge,
everyone benefited not
only by the revenue the
event generated, but in
the shared sense of ca-
maraderie and commu-
nity that inhabits the Illi-
nois River Valley.
