Missing But Not Forgotten
You bad men took my daddy, Domingo, from me a year ago.
He was not here when I was born. He cannot help me learn to
walk or hold me when I’m scared. I will never hear his voice
when books are read to me. He and I will never catch our first
fish or throw a baseball. My father, Domingo, will not see me
graduate from college or see his grandchildren. Daddy, Mommy
needs you so much. She needs you to hold her and take away
her sorrow.
You bad men have crushed my family with grief. My grandma
Yvonne somehow wipes away our tears everyday and says she
will find you! Grandpa Javier says he has lost his best buddy.
My daddy’s little sister, Paloma, will never let me forget how
much my daddy loves me. Great Grandma Dixie passed away
Feb. 23. She held me often and told me stories about you,
Daddy. You were her special boy. Great Grandpa tells us that
we will get through all of this. But how are we supposed to do
this when you are somewhere out there missing!
You bad men, please return my daddy to me and my family.
We all need his spirit to be brought home. I love you Daddy and
kiss your picture everyday.
