The popular life science class is offered as a collabo- ration between Oregon For- est Resources Institute and the K-12 Online program. Offered for the first time last spring, this course brings together students from cities and rural areas of Oregon to discuss forest management and wildlife topics in their respective regions, said OSU. In addition, the course encourages discussion re- garding the role forest man- agement plays in maintain- ing a healthy and diverse wild life community, ac- cording to OSU. The class is worth 0.5 high school credits, and be- cause of the collaboration between the two agencies the tuition is $150, half the normal K-12 Online tuition.
