St. Patrick of the Forest
Catholic Church
When we reach the 33rd
Sunday in Ordinary Time, we
know the Advent Season will
be soon upon us.
Thus, it is no accident
that our Gospel Reading from
Luke tells us about the threat
of wars and insurrections,
plagues, earthquakes and
famines.
These warnings are real,
but so is the promise that if
we persevere in our trust in
the coming Messiah, our lives
will be secured. “You will be
hated by all because of my
name, but not a hair on your
head will be destroyed.”
