Wednesday, March 31 *At 7:49 a.m., two people were contacted at “Forks” State Park. *In the 100 block of Kerby Street, some 35 CDs valued at $600 and an fuel card were reported stolen. *A driver was warned for speeding in the 25000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 8:32 a.m. *Dar Lynn Dwyer, 44, was cited on a charge of speeding and warned for failure to carry proof of insurance on Redwood Hwy. at Waldemar Road at 9:13 a.m. *It was noted that li- cense plates had been re- moved from an abandoned vehicle on Hogue Drive. *On Holland Loop, a pair of dogs, which ap- peared to the caller at 11:24 a.m. to be injured, were in fact, fine. *Deputies aided American Medical Re- sponse (AMR) medics and Illinois Valley firefighters who helped free a man pinned beneath a tractor in the 28000 block of Red- wood Hwy. at 11:53 a.m. *Gregory Wayne Sam- pley, 51, was arrested on warrants charging failure to appear (FTA) on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm, carrying a dangerous weapon, menacing, FTA on charges of possession of a controlled substance (PCS), and DUII. Sawyer Avenue was reported at 4:53 p.m. The resident was later con- tacted and he turned it down. *Medical assistance was rendered to a person who walked in to the AMR station on W. Lister Street at 5:05 p.m. *A man and a woman, who had been driving er- ratically, pulled off Red- wood Hwy. at Briggs Val- ley Road and acted agi- tated and upset, said a third driver who phoned at 6:47 p.m. All drivers were gone when a deputy arrived. *A silver minivan headed south toward Cave Junction on Redwood Hwy. near Finch Road at 9:43 p.m. was speeding and passing erratically, a caller said. Thursday, April 1 *Stolen from a vehicle parked overnight at the Junction Inn were the title to the vehicle, $80 cash, Social Security cards and insurance papers, a man said at 7:38 a.m. *A mother said her son was jumped by 13 to 18 students the day before at Lorna Byrne Middle School on the playground during lunch. She said this is a continuing problem. She was advised to phone back when she could fur- nish names suspects. *A mentally ill young man, off his medication, pulled the emergency brake and fled his mother’s moving vehicle on Red- wood Hwy. at Caves Hwy. at 8:23 a.m. *A driver with a dis- abled vehicle on Redwood Hwy. at Wild Park Lane was assisted at 9:08 a.m. David S. Lea, 22, was cited on charges of speed- ing and warned for failure to carry proof of insurance on E. River Street at Old Stage Road. *Carrie E. McCracken, 24, was cited on charges of failure to yield to a pedes- trian in a crosswalk and improper display on N. Redwood Hwy. at Lister Street. *The guide wire which runs from pole to pole to stabilize traffic signals on Redwood Hwy. at Watkins Street was clipped by a driver at 1:10 p.m. ODOT was advised *Cristie Marie Stew- art, 22, was cited on a charge of failure to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk on S. Redwood Hwy. *In the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. at 4:45 p.m., a woman bleeding from the head was yelling at a man to leave. She said she had been hit by another woman with a beer bottle. She refused medical aid. *Two men were hav- ing a physical altercation on a parking lot in the 100 block of S.
