She was transported to Three Rivers Community Hospi- tal (TRCH). *A man on Lakeshore Drive said at 8:32 p.m. that another person had bor- rowed his car with permis- sion, but failed to return it in a timely manner. Friday, April 2 *A highly intoxicated man was found sitting in his vehicle in the 1000 block of Caves Hwy. at 2:27 a.m. When stopped on Holland Loop at Takilma Road at 3:30 a.m., Clark Edward Turnbull, 44, was arrested and charged with DUII and misd emeano r DWS; warned for failure to main- tain a lane, speeding, and driving uninsured. His ve- hicle was impounded. *A woman on Rail Lane said at 6:55 a.m. that a vehicle had been stolen from her residence. The vehicle was soon recov- ered at Hanby Lane with no damage, but a come- along and a steam table with a combined reported value of $325 were miss- ing. *A counterfeit trav- eler’s check was reported at Shop Smart at 8:22 a.m. *Some $1,190 worth of items including chain- saws and a bicycle were reported stolen from a ga- rage on Tracy Lane. *A transient was said to be sleeping in bushes near a business in the 200 block of Caves Hwy. at 9 a.m. He was gone when a deputy responded later. *A $500 mountain bike was reported stolen from the back porch of a residence on S. Old Stage Road at 9:26 a.m. *A teen-aged male hitch-hiker getting into a pickup truck with “very dark-tinted windows” con- cerned a woman who called from Selma Select Market at 9 a.m. to say so. *Witnesses said a man, upset that his 17-year-old son was visiting the boy’s girlfriend on Hogue Drive, assaulted his son during a “protracted” incident. When the man was con- tacted, his story and that of his son did not coincide with that of witnesses. The boy did not appear injured. *A man on Burch Drive said five CDs and tools valued at $150 had been stolen from two unlocked vehicles. *A woman said she was hit in the face by a man on the parking lot of a business in CJ at 2:48 p.m. *Second-degree theft and theft of services were reported after a woman said her daughter’s $100 cell phone had been stolen at Illinois Valley High School at 3:43 p.m. *A driver was warned for failure to obey a traffic control device (FTO/TCD) on Waldo Road at Takilma Road at 7:35 p.m. *On W. Stevenson Street at 6:06 p.m., a man said he had an injured crow in his backyard. The crow was brought to the I.V. Substation, where it was made comfortable in a box for delivery to Wild- life Images. *Two drivers were warned to replace license plate lights in the area of Takilma Road area around 8:15 p.m. *Police “caution tape” strung across two lanes of Redwood Hwy. south of O’Brien nearly caused an accident, a woman said at 8:16 p.m. Nothing was found when the area was checked. *A speeding car on Redwood Hwy. at milepost 36 eluded an officer by turning off into the woods at 9:17 p.m. *Some five frantic horses, shooed from Takilma Road near Dick George Road, skittered around on a porch and trampled the landscaping of a nearby bed and break- fast until some folks came to retrieve them. *The brake lines on a car parked in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy. were cut, a woman said at 11:55 p.m. She suspected an ex- boyfriend who had been seen in the vicinity earlier. Saturday, April 3 *Donald David Ber- nald, 43, was cited to ap- pear on a charge of misde- meanor DWS, warned for failure to signal, and his vehicle impounded follow- ing a traffic stop in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 1:14 a.m. *Leslie C. McCombs, 51, was cited and released on a charge of DUII on Redwood Hwy. at Pine- wood Way at 1:53 a.m. She was also warned for failure to maintain a lane and failure to carry insur- ance. Her vehicle was towed. *On S. Kerby Avenue at 11:39 a.m., a person said a skateboard, which had been taken from the yard and its appearance altered, had been returned, but the wheels were missing. A deputy advised the person to work it out with the par- ents of the boy who took it. *Other than an unse- cured door, no reason was given for a business alarm in the 500 block of S. Red- wood Hwy. at 2:47 p.m. *The driver of a blue Toyota pickup truck was driving “all over the road” on Redwood Hwy. at mile- post 36 at 2:05 p.m. *A driver was warned for VBR on Redwood Hwy. at Rockydale Road at 4:29 p.m. *Gunshots were heard in the sand pit at Rough & Ready Lumber Co., said a man at 6:59 p.m. who had been chasing bike-riding trespassers off the prop- erty. *Roy Edward McLaughlin, 45, was cited on a charge of DWS and warned for speeding on Redwood Hwy. at milepost 34 at 8:14 p.m. *Thomas W.
