Miscellaneous
items were stolen,
the landlord said.
*Deputies re-
sponded to a re-
ported domestic
dispute
during
which a shot was
fired in the 1600
block of Crooks
Creek Road at 4:48
p.m. The fight,
between a father
and his daughter’s
boyfriend,
was
about verbal abuse
of the
young
woman and possi-
ble past physical
abuse. The boy-
friend left the
scene. Charges of
unlawful use of a
weapon, menacing
and fourth-degree
assault were re-
ferred to the dis-
trict attorney’s of-
fice.
*No property
damage or injuries
were
sustained
when a vehicle
went off the road
in the 600 block of
Deer Creek Road
at 5:11 p.m.
*A
woman
from
Arkansas
phoned to request
law enforcement
contact
her
brother-in-law to
inform him of his
father’s grave ill-
ness.
Deputies
were unable to
contact the man.
*Transients
had set up camp
behind a business
in the 100 block of
N. Redwood Hwy.
and they were yell-
ing, shouting, and
setting off fire-
crackers, a woman
reported at 11:39
p.m..
Deputies

cate the transients.

*Two vehicles

capped tags were
parked in the
handicapped
spaces in front of
Shop Smart, a man
said at 5:42 p.m.
*A dog was hit
and killed by a car
in the 33000 block
of Redwood Hwy.
at 7:54 p.m. The
dog had no tags, its
owner could not be
located.
*Several driv-
ers were warned
for traffic infrac-
tions such as de-
fective headlights,
defective taillights,
violation of the
basic rule (driving
too fast for condi-
tions), failure to
maintain a lane,
white light to the
rear,
and
“exhibition
of
speed” in various
locations around
the valley between
8:15 and 10:29
p.m.

*Unknown
persons on ATVs
were
tearing
around the Kerby
Transfer Station
operated by South-
ern Oregon Sanita-
tion, it was re-
ported at 11:35
p.m. A report of
first-degree crimi-
nal mischief and
second-degree
criminal trespass
was filed.
*A
woman
said her daughter’s
father had sent
notes to the girl at
school, an apparent
violation of a re-
straining order. It
was determined to
be unfounded as a
crime. The woman
was advised of her
options.
*Two credit
card convenience
checks were stolen
from a trash can at
the CJ Post Office.
The complainant
received a state-
ment showing the
items had been
cashed for a total
of $625.
*A man in the
24000 block of
Redwood
Hwy.
near a former drug
lab site said that
vehicles
were
speeding up and
down the roadway
at all hours of the
day and night. He
suspected a re-
sumption of drug
activity.
*At 2:20 p.m.
a white car was
reported and stuck
in the mud near the
new IVHS football
field.
*A man with a
history of mental
instability was cir-
cling the I.V.
Ranger
District
office, yelling and
throwing a bicycle
around.
*Arthur
D.
DiFuria, 28, was
taken into custody
on a peace offi-
cer’s mental hold
after a disturbance
on S. Old Stage
Road at 5:50 p.m.
*A 911 hang
up call was re-
ceived from the
4000 block of
Takilma Road at
5:58 p.m.
*A
woman
said some people
were refusing to
allow her to re-
trieve her belong-
ings from a loca-
tion on Thompson
Creek Road. When
contacted by depu-
ties, the woman
said she and the
people involved
had reached a
compromise, no
further assistance
was needed.

26, was cited on a
charge of speeding
during a traffic
