The Cougars celebrated their win with a group cheer and by crashing their helmets together (photo top right). Led spiritedly by T. Lund, IVHS and Lorna Byrne Middle School music depart- ment director, the high school choir members serenade the dozens of IVHS fans in the stands (photo above left). Cougars’ leading rusher, Natty Krauss, sits on the sidelines during the game after undergoing surgery for injuries to the tendons in his hand when he lost his balance in the locker room and put his hand through a win- dow. His recovery is expected to take three months, according to doctors (photo right). The Cougars have a season record of 6-1, 3-1 Skyline Conference and are tied for first place with Mazama. The Cougars will battle the Phoenix High Pirates on the road on Friday, Oct. 17. Football ... ‘No Call List’ on hold (Continued from page 1) made the score 19-14. Reactivation of Ore- gon’s No Call List Pro- gram is on hold until the 10th Circuit Court of Ap- peals decides whether to lift an injunction, Oregon Attorney General hardy Myers announced. The injunction is by the Federal Trade Com- mission (FTC). “If the court rules against FTC,” said Hardy, “we are ready to reactivate the Oregon No Call Pro- gram immediately to pro- tect the privacy of 184,000 Oregonians now subscrib- ing to Oregon’s program. “If the ruling is in FTC’s favor and lifts the injunction, allowing the federal No Call Program to proceed, our program would be pre-empted and cannot continue.” Buyer beware!
