Illinois Valley News, Cave Junction, OR Wednesday, October 15, 2003 St. Patrick of the Forest Catholic Church Catholics who have been brought up in the faith since birth received much of their religious education through paro- chial schools. In many in- stances, their religious training stopped after they received the Sacrament of Confirmation; or when they graduated from high school. Education in faith should be lifelong. St. Patrick of the For- est will address this need by offering adult religious education classes begin- ning on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Elliott Cen- ter, 407 W. River Street. Persons interested learning about the Catholicism or those who would like a refresher training are in- vited. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Stewardship. What does it mean? In the church, it means care- ful use of the resources we have. Our time, talents and, yes, our money. In the Bible, Jesus told a rich man to sell all of his possessions and give the money to the poor and then to follow Him. In our own way, can we give back at least a por- tion of what we have? Church activities: Wednesdays at 6 p.m., pot- luck and Bible study; Fri- day, Oct. 17, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. community fish feed to benefit the Boys and Girls Club and high school youth group. Sundays 9 a.m. worship, 10:15 a.m. Sunday School. A photo caption in the Oct. 1 “I.V. News” incorrectly iden- tified the group driving restored cars. The vehicles were driven by members of Jefferson State Street Rods. A photo of the Illinois Valley High School homecoming court in the Oct. 8 “I.V. News” incorrectly identified a homecoming queen nominee. The name should have been Kelsey Arnett. “I.V. News” regrets the errors. Josephine County Public Health Is offering FLU SHOTS!
