said a skirt for a home
with a listed value of $40
was missing.
*There was a continu-
ing problem with cars
speeding in the area of
100 S. Junction Ave.
Deputies said they would
conduct extra patrols.
*In the 17300 block of
Illinois River Road a man
said he heard gunshots at
7:44 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 15
*In the 28200 block of
Redwood Hwy. deputies
said a person yelling was a
Vietnam veteran who was
out of “sleeping medica-
tion.” He was unaware he
was being a nuisance and
said he would keep the
noise down.
*A woman in the
4900 block of Happy
Camp Road said her
baby’s father was trying to
take custody of her 18-
month-old baby. Deputies
said it was a civil matter.
*A woman turned in a
duffel bag and sleeping

Sunday, Sept. 14
*In the 5200 block of
Dick George Road depu-
ties responded to a small
grass fire and filed a report
for arson.
*Kristopher John Rob-
erts, 23, was arrested on a
warrant for domestic har-
assment in the 600 block
of Pine Cone Drive. Holly
A. Dangerfield, 20, was
arrested on a warrant
charging failure to appear
on a third-degree theft
charge. James Wesley
Kendall, 38, was arrested
on a warrant on charges
involving dangerous drugs
and endangering the wel-
fare of a minor.

LONE MOUNTAIN FIRE -- Illinois Valley volunteer firefighters extinguished a blaze at the home of Ster-
ling Goode at 552 Lone Mountain Road in O’Brien on Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 6:17 p.m. Smoke from the
fire was seen by a Oregon Dept. of Forestry lookout on Grayback Mountain. The fire was deemed an
electrical fire. The estimated loss caused by the fire was $150,000.

*At Jubilee Park
deputies warned four teen-
agers for driving too fast
and racing their vehicles at
4:36 p.m.
*In the 100 block of
S. Redwood Hwy. a citi-
zen said a man was kick-
ing and punching a dog.
The owner asked him to
back off, but the man re-
fused. Robert J. Myers,
33, was arrested on
charges of probation vio-
lation and second-degree
animal abuse.
*A man said some
people were damaging his
vacant property in the
38000 block of Redwood
Hwy.
Tuesday, Sept. 16
*In the 200 block of
S. Junction Avenue a
woman said she heard a
dog crying and moaning
near the fellowship hall in
the 200 block of S. Junc-
tion Ave. Deputies were
unable to locate the ani-
mal.
*Deputies said a man
who pulled off the road-
way in the 15000 block of
Redwood Hwy. was just
napping.
*Near 3200 block
Holland Loop Road depu-
ties responded to a traffic
accident. A woman in the
single-vehicle mishap was
complaining of neck pain
and was transported to
Three Rivers Community
Hospital in Grants Pass by
American Medical Re-
sponse (AMR).
*In the 300 block of
N. Hussey Avenue depu-
ties arrested Michael Scott
Wood, 14, on a charge of
a probation violation.
*In the 1000 block of
Daisy Hill Road a man
said his horse was miss-
ing.
*In the 400 block of
S. Junction Avenue a man
said a backpack contain-
ing items including books,
clothing and running
shoes with a listed value
of $180 were removed
from in front of a busi-
ness.
*In the 100 block of
N. Redwood Hwy. Jerry
Victor Lewis Owens, 49,
was cited on a charge of
driving while suspended,
driving uninsured and fail-
ure to obey a traffic coor-
dinating device. His vehi-
cle was impounded.
*In the 100 block of
Warren Road deputies
responded to a fully en-
gulfed structure fire of a
camper trailer. Deputies
filed a report for a suspi-
cious fire.
*In the 500 block of
W. River Street a man said
he saw a boy being as-
saulted by a man. A report
was filed in case it hap-
pens again.
*A citizen in the 600
block of E. River Street
said an intoxicated teen-
age boy was refusing to
come home. Deputies
couldn’t find him.
*In the 200 block of
Honeybee Lane deputies
received a tip about possi-
ble drug activity in the
area. The citizen said
someone was flashing a
flood light as a possible
signal to drug buyers.
Deputies forwarded the
complaint to JOINT.
*In the 800 block of
Lone Mountain Road a
man complained that dogs
were barking too much.
Wednesday, Sept. 17
*At 2:27 a.m. in the
900 block of Naue Way
deputies responded to a
verbal dispute between a
man and his wife. She was
upset that he would not let
