Hussey Avenue. *A citizen said a man was setting fire to brush and trees between milepost 39 and 40 of Redwood Hwy. Deputies said a small tree fire and a fire caused by a cigarette was extin- guished. They did not find the man who started the fires. *In the 8000 block of Deer Creek Road a man reported that a piece of burl was missing. *Stop signs were re- portedly knocked down on Waldo Road at 2:27 p.m. *In the 400 block of O’Brien Road a man said another man who was sup- posed to fix his motorcycle gave it away. *In the 100 block of Cricket Lane a man said his son left to hitchhike to Colorado and he hasn’t heard from him since. *A woman said she wanted to report a case of child abuse when two chil- dren fell into the I.V. river while their guardians were smoking marijuana on the river banks. A witness ap- parently saved the kids. *In the 8500 block of Deer Creek Road a man said a woman spit on him and was irate at 10:24 a.m. He did not want to pursue charges. *A man said some ten- ants reported that strange smells were coming from a unit in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. *A woman at Dairy Queen in Downtown Cave Junction said two men walked in drinking beer from bottles. They were asked to leave. *In the 600 block of Hayes Cut Off Road a man said someone entered a vacant house was entered and a wood stove insert with a listed value of $500 was missing. *A woman said an intoxicated man at Jubilee Park was screaming and yelling at somebody that didn’t exist at 6:13 p.m. Saturday, June 28 *At the intersection of Takilma Road and Happy Camp Road deputies checked a complaint of loud music at 10:40 p.m. *An anonymous call- ers near the intersection of Pine Cone Drive and Rockydale Road said a chemical odor was making them sick at 10:26 p.m. Sunday, June 29 *In the 24500 block of Redwood Hwy. a citizen reported a loud party was going on at 12:05 a.m. *A man said cars were racing up W. River Street at a high rate of speed at 12:32 a.m. *In the 5600 block of Westside Road a woman said a phone and some other items were missing from her house.
