Don O. Lynch
Former Illinois Valley
resident Don O. Lynch
died on April 1, 2003.
Lynch was born Oct. 15,
1916 in Peace Valley, Mo.
He married his wife, Aud-
rey, in 1938.
The Lynch family re-
sided in Kansas and Colo-
rado before moving to Wa-
terford, Calif. In the mid
1940s. The family moved
to San Diego a few years
later, where Don was em-
ployed in the aircraft in-
dustry until his retirement
in the late 1960.
Don and Audrey
bought a hardware store in
Washington state where
they could be closer to
their son, Ron and his fam-
ily. Don and Audrey re-
tired in Cave Junction a
few years later. They were
active in Belt Lodge, and
enjoyed many friendships
in Cave Junction.
When Audrey died in
1986, Don moved to
Berkeley, Calif. When
Don’s health began to fail
he once again moved, this
time to Bellewood Retire-
ment Home in Issaquah,
Wash. Don instantly made
many friends and he was
always the life of the party
at Bellewood. He contin-
ued to get rave reviews on
his home cooking — fried
chicken livers, clam chow-
der, cherry cream pie and
culinary delights.
He leaves behind his
son, Ron Lynch (Patti),
grandchildren: Dawn Rob-
inson (Todd), Darcy Lynch
Jannitto (Mark), Ron
Lynch II (Colleen); great

Saints Peter and Paul,

the netherworld shall not
prevail against it.” During
this same conversation,
Jesus gave Peter the keys
