Monday, May 5
*In the 100 block of Tracy
Lane a man reported that
someone had taken up resi-
dence in a vacant house on the
property behind his.
Tuesday, May 6
*Phone harassment was
reported in the 100 block of
Hogue Drive.
*In the 38000 block of
Redwood Hwy. a man said
that he continues to have tres-
passing problems with his
neighbor and her dog.
*Eric C. Orr, 20, was ar-
rested on charges of failure to
perform duties of a driver, and
reckless driving, in the 100
block of W. Palmer Street at
5:39 p.m.
*There was a disturbance
between family members in
the 200 block of Schumacher
Street.
*There was a disturbance
concerning a man who had
been drinking in the 100 block
of S. Redwood Hwy.
*A welfare check was
performed in the 100 block of
Hogue Drive.
Wednesday, May 7
*Police checked on an
unsecured building in the 200
block of W. Lister Street.
There were no signs of forced
entry.
*In the 100 block of Pat-
ton Bar Road a woman com-
plained of a prowler. The
prowler turned out to be
friends of the woman’s son,
deputies reported.
*A witness told deputies
he saw a man on a bike riding
away from Puff-N-Stuff after
he allegedly kicked in the
door and broke into the busi-
ness at 5:02 p.m.
*A citizen reported a stop
sign was knocked down and
the pole was broken at the
intersection of Redwood Hwy.
and River Street.
*The same man reported a
stop sign was knocked over at
the intersection of W. River
and Sawyer Avenue.
*A broken window caused
an audible alarm at River Val-
ley Restaurant.
*Two more stop signs
were knocked down at the
intersection of Kerby Avenue
and Schumacher Street.
*A fifth stop sign was
reportedly knocked over at the
intersection of Junction and
East River.
*An estimated $350 worth
of damage was reported at
Evergreen Elementary School.
Three windows and a light
switch cover were broken.
*Rodger Lee Pernicka,
19, was cited on a charge of
driving while suspended
(DWS) at the intersection of
S. Junction Avenue and Caves
Hwy. at 11:01 a.m.
*A woman called in a
trespass complaint in the 500
block of W. River.
*A citizen reported that
14 street signs were removed
in Cave Junction and some
were damaged. The total dam-
age was estimated at $240.
*Police opened an investi-
gation on a possible suspect
for criminal mischief in con-
nection with nine damaged
street signs at 1:11 p.m.
*A horse was reported in
the roadway at the intersection
of Redwood Hwy. and
O’Brien Road. The owner and
friends searched the woods for
the horse.
*A citizen reported his
day planner which contained
his Social Security card and
credit cards was stolen from a
cart at Shop Smart at 1:57
p.m.
*A man complained that
his neighbor was playing mu-
sic too loudly in the 400 block
of Queen of Bronze Road at
4:21 p.m.
*David Thomas, 37, was
cited for DWS in the 17000
block of Redwood Hwy.
*A highly intoxicated man
carrying a case of beer
climbed onto a man’s trailer in
the 900 block of Reeves Creek
Road. No charges were filed.
*A parent complained that
her child was out of control in
the 100 block of S. Sawyer
Avenue.
Thursday, May 8
*A woman complained
that a man used his vehicle to
push hers out of the way at
Illinois Valley High School.
She didn’t notice any damage
to her car. The man was
warned by police.
*An O’Brien landlord said
that a man was growing a
marijuana plant in the rear of a
dwelling. The manager said
the man has cancer, but does
not have a medical marijuana
card. When confronted, the
man ripped the plant to pieces
and threw it away.
*In the 100 block of War-
ren Road a man and a woman
got into an argument over a
computer. Police settled the
dispute and no charges were
filed.
*A laptop computer and
some keys were reported
taken from inside a building in
the 300 block of S. Caves
Avenue. The suspect then
used the keys to remove drills
from two work trucks.
*A citizen driving on
Redwood Hwy. near Kerby
Mainline Road complained
that a man was slamming on
his brakes and would not let
his vehicle pass.
*A woman said she lo-
cated a bike that was taken
from her residence the night
before parked in front of Puff-
N-Stuff. Police investigated
and discovered it was not the
bike in question.
*A woman reported a
stalking complaint from the
1200 block of Shepherd Hills
Drive.
*A juvenile girl was re-
ported as a runaway from
Kerby at 10:13 p.m.
Friday, May 9
*A highly intoxicated
woman was given a ride home
by a deputy from the intersec-
tion of Redwood Hwy. and
Waldamar Road at 12:08 a.m.
*A youngster heard noises
and thought he saw the shad-
ows of a prowler in the 2100
block of Laurel Road at 6:51
a.m. Deputies found no prowl-
ers.
*A man failed to leave his
name at the scene after back-
ing into a vehicle in the park-
ing lot of Home Valley Bank.
A witness identified the sus-
pect vehicle and both parties
agreed to a compromise.
*A roll of insulation val-
ued at $258 was said to have
been taken from a construc-
tion site in the 5000 block of
Rockydale Road.
*A dog that was possibly
dropped off on the top of
Hay’s Hill was chasing a car.
*In the 2500 block of
Caves Hwy. a man com-
plained that someone was re-
fusing to give him his prop-
erty. Deputies helped the man
get his property and told the
resident to pursue further ac-
tion through civil court.
*A runaway juvenile girl
returned home to Kerby at
4:34 p.m.
*A citizen reported a boy
was stealing a bike from a
house in the 100 block of
Hathaway Drive. The boy had
permission to take the bike,
deputies said.
*In the 500 block of Pine-
wood Way an intoxicated
woman had a verbal disagree-
ment with her husband.
*A dead turkey in the road
was a major traffic hazard in
the 29000 block of Redwood
Hwy. at 10:29 p.m. The turkey
was moved off the roadway.
*A dead deer was re-
moved from the intersection
of Redwood Hwy. and Laurel
Road at 9:12 p.m.
*David James Parker, 43,
was cited and released on a
charge of DUII at “Forks”
Park at 9:21 p.m.
*Several young people
were advised of park hours at

*A woman was given a
ride home by a deputy from
the 26000 block of Redwood
Hwy.
Saturday, May 10
*A resident in the 5000
block of Holland Loop Road
was having difficulty breath-
ing after being bitten on her
neck. She was taken to Three
Rivers Hospital.
*At the O’Brien General
Store a man complained that
his whole body was shaking
and his muscles were locking
up at 9:28 a.m. He took a
Zanex to try and calm down
but it didn’t help. An EMT
was called.
*A fully submerged vehi-
cle with a substantial oil leak
was reported at 9:26 a.m. in
the 900 block of Reeves Creek
Road. A deputy used a blanket
to control the oil spill and a
tow truck was called.
*At Lake Selmac, a pad-
dle boat valued at $600 was
said to be taken. The boat was
located and recovered with
$150 worth of damage.
*In the 5000 block of
Caves Hwy. a woman com-
plained of hip pain after being
pushed by her husband. No
charges were filed.
*In the 600 block of
Beebe Drive a man threatened
a woman. He packed his be-
longings and left before a dep-
uty could arrive.
