Frog festival set for June 14
The 31st annual children’s
Frog O’Faire Festival will be
hopping into Riverside Park in
Grants Pass Saturday, June 14
from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Booths for children will
include crafts such as wood-
working, jewelry making, face
painting, pottery and tie-dye.
Special crafts for pre-
schoolers are part of the event.
New things to do this year
will include meeting and
learning about llamas, chess,
watersheds and a hand-on sci-
ence “caterpillar” wagon.
A storytelling “Talking
Tree” and a stage with live
entertainment is scheduled all
day.
Admission and all events
are free. The event is spon-
sored by the American Asso-
ciation o University Women.

TOUGH GAMES - Illinois Valley’s softball team lost a key pair
of games with Rogue River Saturday in Cave Junction. The
Chieftains beat the Cougars 1-0, 4-1 to wrap up the third
place spot in the Skyline Conference. Rogue River earned a
trip to the playoffs with the wins. The Cougars are in fourth.
Kim Hamilton fanned eight batters and scattered two hits in
the opening game to lead the Cougars.
