The Board of Directors of Illinois Valley Little
League would like to thank everyone who
helped to make our Opening Day 2003 a
complete success this year. Everyone worked
very hard to make this a fun day for our
children and their parents, and a good
time was had by all who attended
in spite of the weather.
We would also like to extend our gratitude and “Thank You’s” to the
following people who also contributed to this day for the kids.
The Masons for once again being there and giving out free hot dogs
to everyone who attended. Their generosity is very much appreciated.
To Pepsi which was there with its Mug-Bug giving out free soda.
We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Shop Smart
Food Warehouse, which generously donated all the paper plates,
napkins, etc. for our dime-a-dip event.
We would also like to thank all the parents who donated the food that
we had for our dime-a-dip event, and to all the volunteers who helped
with serving and cleaning up in the kitchen.
A special thank you goes out to Katrina, who so gracefully sang the
National Anthem for our opening ceremonies.
We would also like to send a special congratulation to:
Jessica Ragsdale on receiving a certificate for “Player of the Year”
Tony Paulson on receiving a certificate for “Volunteer of the Year”
Also a special thank you to all our sponsors who once again have
made this a possibility for our children to have a good
2003 baseball season.
We will be selling our cookbooks within the next couple of weeks
as a fund-raiser, so watch for them going on sale.
Let’s make this a fun year for our kids and watch them go
to the All-stars again this year.
