It turned out that the bones belonged to road kill. *A woman was upset after being served an eviction notice on Aries Lane. *A suspicious incident was reported concerning juvenile males throwing an- other juvenile male into the trunk of a vehicle. The woman making the complaint believes that the juve- niles may have just been playing around. *In the 1200 block of Shepherd Hills Drive a woman complained that a loaded log truck dam- aged a bridge on her property. *A man reported that someone shot and killed his dog in the 32000 block of Redwood Hwy. *Maria A. Cortes Melchor, 24, was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of intoxi- cants (DUII) after leaving a Selma busi- ness. *A manhole cover was removed at N. Caves Avenue and Lister Street. *In the 100 block of Robinson Road a deputy was not able to locate a juvenile who had possibly committed a proba- tion violation. *A possible case of electricity theft was reported in the 1200 block of Lone Mountain Road. Thursday, Feb. 6 *An unruly traf- fic signal was re- ported to ODOT at W. Lister Street and S. Redwood Hwy. *There was a single-vehicle acci- dent in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy. *A runaway male juvenile turned him- self in at the I.V. Substation at 8:24 a.m. *A column of smoke, possibly com- ing from a structure fire, turned out to be a controlled burn. *By breaking a door, entry was gained to a building in the new Laurel Road development in the 400 block of Lau- rel Road. *Someone took lawn ornaments from a lawn in the 600 block of Fernwood Drive. *People selling firewood that may have been stolen from BLM land were reported in the 100 block of Deer Creek Road. *Juveniles with a bon fire located under a tree were reported in the 100 block of N. Old Stage Road. *In the 300 block of Old Stage Road a woman thought she heard something in her ceiling. *James Alan Nel- son, 33, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault/ domestic felony in the 200 block of W. River Street at 8:44 p.m. *A man was ad- vised of his driving status in the 100 block of Deer Creek Road. Friday, Feb. 7 *Levi Gene Ort- loff, 22, was detained for possession of a controlled substance (PCS) - less than an ounce of marijuana and PCS metham- phetamine, at Lister Street and S. Kerby Avenue at 1:36 a.m. *Jesse J. Bal- linger-Windle, 26, was cited on a charge of PCS/less than an ounce of marijuana at Lister Street and S. Kerby Avenue at 1:36 a.m. *Dogs charging at a vehicle may have been dumped at Waldo Road and Takilma Road. *Jonathon S. Cunningham, 20, was cited on a charge of following too close, after a motor vehicle accident which sent one person to the hospital by American Medical Response. *There may have been a burglary in the 23000 block of Red- wood Hwy. *A man was ad- vised of his civil op- tions in the 9000 block of Takilma Road. *In the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. someone reported two very intoxicated male juveniles. A deputy was unable to locate them. *An intoxicated person in the 100 block of Deer Creek Road was unable to be located. *In the 17000 block of Redwood Hwy. a man was warned regarding the misuse of 911. *There was a report of a white male adult “casing” the Family Resource Center on E. River Street. *A woman in the 600 block of Deer Creek Road was ex- tremely upset about a neighbor trespassing. Saturday, Feb. 8 *Someone dialed 911 by mistake in the 33000 block of Red- wood Hwy. *Dorinda Grace Sherman, 43, was cited on a charge of speeding at Redwood Hwy. and Clear Creek Road. *Assistance was rendered to a woman in the 200 block of W. River Street when she was afraid to walk to her car be- cause of unsavory characters at 4:45 p.m. *Nathan Louis Richards, 17, was cited on a charge of speeding in the 100 block of S, Redwood Hwy. *In the 100 block of S. Redwood Hwy. there was a complaint about someone play- ing with someone else’s teeth. *Gretchen M. Johnson Keim Zeigler, 44, was ar- rested on a charge of probation violation in the 100 block of Finch Road at 7:13 p.m. *A woman in the 4500 block of Waldo Road rolled her vehi- cle after someone, she said, threw a rock at her windshield. Sunday, Feb. 9 *During the night someone stole the 7- feet-tall hand-carved angel from the roof of Coffee Heaven in Downtown Cave Junction. *Ferrell Lee Bai- ley, 60, was cited on a charge of speeding in the 33000 block of Redwood Hwy. *Also during the night someone took two chainsaws valued at approximately $350 each from the Selma Community Center in the 18000 block of Redwood Hwy. *A deputy as- sisted a man in the 7800 block of Caves Hwy. at 11:40 a.m. *Reginald Dwayne Wright, 41, was cited on charges of driving while sus- pended (DWS) and no liability insurance at 1:20 p.m. *In the 400 block of S. Redwood Hwy. someone reported a possible intoxicated driver. *There was a 911 hang-up call from the 100 block of Deer Creek Road. *A woman in the 100 block of N.
