Upon arrival it was found that the mother and son had separated. The mother did not wish to pursue the matter any further. *At 4:41 p.m. in the 500 block of Lakeshore Drive a man said that a man in a yellow pickup truck asked if he could park at the end of his driveway so he could watch a house in the 600 block. It was later found that there was a restrain- ing order against the man in the pickup. *A man in the 1800 block of Crooks Creek Road reported that he believed that someone was tres- passing on his prop- erty by cutting the wire of a fence that he shares with neighbors. *At 7:02 p.m. in the 200 block of Schumacher Street, children reported that a man was beating up a woman behind a business. The man and woman then separated and the man left. Friday, Oct. 25 *Upon opening in the morning, an employee at the Un- ion 76 gas station in Cave Junction found that a window had been broken. The employee stated that it was unknown as to whether anything had been taken, and it was found that no entry had been gained to the premises. *Approximately 50 goats were re- ported loose on a road on Sauer’s Flat at 7:49 a.m. *Quite a few people were stopped and warned for vio- lating the basic rule (VBR)/driving too fast for conditions in the E. River Street/ Old Stage Road area between 8 and 9 a.m. *Frank B. Salerni was cited on a charge of DWS violation at E. River Street/Old Stage Road area at 8:49 a.m. *At 8:51 a.m. in the 4000 block of Waldo Road, Robert Charles Breakfield, 39, was arrested on a warrant from the North Bend Police Dept. on a charge of failure to appear (FTA) on failure to carry and present li- ability insurance. It was reported that he was known for pos- sessing firearms, eluding and assault- ing police officers. He was lodged in Josephine County jail. *A young child was responsible for a 911 phone call from the 600 block of S. Old Stage Road at12:41 p.m. *Theft of a vehi- cle was reported at 1:09 p.m. at the state liquor store in Down- town CJ. A woman stated that she went into the store and that when she came out, the vehicle was miss- ing. She had left the keys in a dark gray Dodge Ram with a canopy. The com- plainant said that the pickup truck had peace sign and god- dess of life stickers. *At 3:15 p.m. a woman requested public assistance con- cerning her father. She asked that a per- son be contacted so she could be given a ride to Wolf Creek where her ill father was. *An animal prob- lem was reported at Evergreen Elemen- tary School track at 3:41 p.m. involving a juvenile person who suffered minor scrapes from her brother’s dog. The children’s grand- mother was to take the girl to a doctor. *At 3:36 p.m. a man in the 9000 block of Takilma Road reported that a gray pickup truck was parked in his driveway with the drivers side door open and the keys in it. He stated he be- lieved that the vehicle had been there for at least two hours, but did not see who dropped it off. It was later found that the vehicle was involved in a theft earlier that day. *In the 10000 block of Takilma Road two men showed a strong in- terest in a possible stolen vehicle. *At 6:27 p.m. a woman in the 500 block of N. Old Stage Road reported that a Pitbull dog had bitten her 1 2 - ye a r - o l d granddaughter. The woman was advised that the dog had all its current shots. *An owner of an apartment building in the 200 block of W. Stevenson Street re- ported that a suspi- cious looking man was going door-to- door selling some- thing in a bottle. It was later found to be bottled water. *David Tripp Nelson, 18, was cited on a charge of speed racing in the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy. at 8:05 p.m. *Public assis- tance was requested in the 600 block of Deer Creek Road. The complainant said that tenants had pulled up to a barn and possibly stolen something. She said that she would phone the next day if any- thing was taken. *Richard Lee Buckendahl, 33, was cited on a charge of driving 82 mph in a 45 zone at Redwood Hwy./Waldo Road. Saturday, Oct. 26 *A blue van was reported as being hid- den into part of a mountain in the 17000 block of Red- woo d Hwy. A woman stated that she was surveying the property nearby when she spotted it. She said that the vehicle appeared to be in good condition, but that the tires were missing. *A bar fight was reported at 12:41 a.m. at the Red Garter Sa- loon.
