Thursday, Oct. 3 *At 12:43 a.m. a woman filed a noise complaint, stating that someone on an intercom between River Street and Caves Hwy. was waking her child. *At 8:12 a.m. in the 6300 block of Caves Hwy. Anne Margaret Mitchell, 66, was cited for dis- playing an expired trip permit. *At 10:02 a.m. at the DMV Office in Cave Junction a man became verbally abu- sive when asked for proof of identifica- tion. He slammed his fist on the counter and was shaking his fist at an employee, and yelling. *At 11:59 a.m. there was a report of a disturbance on the CJ Select parking lot. A window had been broken in a vehicle, and two men ap- peared to be involved in an altercation. It was agreed that one of the men had bro- ken the window, and he said that he would pay for it. *Gunshots were reported in the 600 block of Naue Way at 1:42 p.m. A neighbor said that he was out- side with some friends shooting a gun in a safe manner. *At 2:26 p.m. a baggie containing a small rock of “some sort of drug” was re- trieved at the Selma Post Office. *A motor vehicle accident (MVA) was reported in the 6500 block of Caves Hwy. at 3:36 p.m. Later reports stated that there was a man with a gun. A school bus was at the scene and was backing up to get around the vehicles. There were no re- ported injuries, and the gun turned out to be a rifle owned by a hunter. *In the 200 block of Old Stage Road at 5:42 p.m., Ronald A. Trickel, 46, was ar- rested on charges of violation of a re- straining order (VOR) and interfer- ing. *A complaint of harassment was made at 4:33 p.m. in the 100 block of Krauss Lane. It was reported that this was a con- tinuing problem and that the complainant was filling out a har- assment package. *A report of a stolen vehicle from the 18000 block of Redwood Hwy. at 7:33 p.m. was made. The complainant stated that the vehicle could have been sto- len by her husband and that he could be on his way to Cres- cent City. *At 8:23 p.m. a non-injury MVA was reported in the 24000 block of Redwood Hwy. A vehicle was found in a ditch and blocking traffic. The vehicle was removed and the driver was warned for making an unsafe U-turn. *At 8:34 p.m. Rhonda Susan Jack- son, 28, was arrested on charges of failure to appear (FTA) on a charge of theft II. She was lodged in the Josephine County Jail. *At 10:03 p.m. at Redwood Hwy. and Reeves Creek Road, Michael W. Hul- slander, 30, was cited on a charge of speed- ing. *A Josephine County deputy was flagged down in re- gards to a Chihuahua having problems giv- ing birth. An attempt to contact a veterinar- ian was unsuccessful. Friday, Oct. 4 *Clifford Buffon Norris, 20 was cited on a charge of driv- ing 63 mph in a 45 zone at 12:11 a.m. at Redwood and Caves Hwy. *At 12:33 a.m. in the 37000 block of Redwood Hwy., St. John Tromler Bryan, 35, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants (DUII), driving while re- voked (DWR) and probation violation (PV). He was lodged in Josephine County Jail. *Theft from a motor vehicle was reported in the Rockydale Road/ Sherier Drive area at 10:25 a.m. It was said that two windows had been broken in the vehicle and that a .22-caliber rifle, $70 in cash, a box of oil paints, a starter motor and a tool box with tools were sto- len. *A man reported that his trash can was stolen. The trash company was con- tacted and said that it would replace the can free of charge. *Trespassing was logged in the 400 block of Queen of Bronze Road. The trespasser was warned about enter- ing the complainant’s property. *At 2:48 p.m. a welfare check was requested near the White Tiger exhibit in the 27000 block of Redwood Hwy. A passing motorist re- ported that a man was lying facedown in the parking lot. *Gunshots were heard in the 600 block of Naue Way at 3:10 a.m. *A complainant reported that he was concerned because a man he was supervis- ing believed he had a microchip in his head and that the people controlling the chip would tell him to harm the complain- ant’s sister. The com- plainant requested that authorities con- tact his sister and warn her. *There was a complaint concerning a man driving erratic- ally on Rockydale Road. It was also re- ported that the man was screaming at his wife during that time. *At 4:53 p.m. public assistance was requested in the 300 block of Caves Hwy. concerning a civil dispute concerning the return of a fire- arm. *Someone said that a suspicious- looking person was throwing cigarettes and lighting matches at 8:24 p.m. in the 24000 block of Red- wood Hwy. Saturday, Oct. 5 *A false 911 call was made from a Holton Creek Road residence. It was re- ported that a child had been playing with the phone. *At 1:37 p.m. there was a report there was a tree and some sort of lines down in the 500 block of Caves Hwy. Oregon Dept. of Transportation and Citizens Communica- tions were notified. *Anthony M. Hensley, 29 was cited on a charge of DWS in the S.
