JUST END IT!! Tobacco Prevention restores connection to Sacred Tobacco The Siletz Tribal Tobacco Prevention Program is excited to announce that thanks to the participation of the Siletz Tribal Membership and the Siletz Farm Program, we have managed to reestablish our cultural connection to Sacred Tobacco. For the first time in over 200 years, our Tribal people have access to a sustain- able source of Columbian Tobacco (Nicotiana Quadrivalvis var. Multivalvis). This is the same variety of tobacco that was grown by our people all over the homelands. The intent of our program is to provide the members the opportunity to use the sacred tobacco for ceremony, traditional practices, and personally held cultural beliefs. Supplies may be limited depending on availability, currently restricting requests to tribal members 21 years and older. The form will be added to the Members portal of the Tribal website soon.
