Members, continued from page 1 CTSI Childcare Assistance Program The CTSI Childcare Assistance Program provides assistance with childcare expenses to families liv- ing within the Tribe’s 11-county service area. To qualify for assistance, parents and children must meet certain eligibility requirements. Parents must be employed or attending school or a job training program. Children must be under age 13 and be either an enrolled member of CTSI, eligible to enroll, or the dependent or descendent of an enrolled Siletz Tribal member. Applications to apply for the CTSI Childcare Assistance Program are posted on the Tribal website and available at Tribal area offices. We will continue providing updates as new information and strategies emerge. Critical and immediate impacting actions will be updated on our Member Only website. Tribal members can play a role in advocacy efforts during these chal- lenging times. Here are some ways you can contribute to protecting our sovereignty, treaty rights, and federal funding: 1. Stay Informed & Engage Follow updates newsletters, social media, and community meetings. Fact check information before shar- ing to ensure accurate information is being shared. Learn about key issues affecting our Tribe, including federal policies, funding challenges, and sovereignty rights. 2. Contact Elected Officials Reach out to your U.S. Senators and Representatives to express your support for continued federal funding and the protection of tribal sover- eignty across the U.S. Attend town halls, hearings, and meetings where tribal concerns can be voiced. Every voice matters! Whether through advocacy, community involvement, or spreading aware- ness, your efforts help strengthen our Tribe’s position and future. Elders Council Meeting The Elders Council will host an in-person/Zoom hybrid meeting on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Aces Sports Bar & Grill in Lincoln City, Ore.
