As part of the COVID-19 response, she
was given a special assignment as home

Miranda has significant experience

the Institute for Healthcare Improvement
model for health care improvement. She
has 19 years of combined experience as a
supervisor, public health and clinical care
systems, program development, imple-
mentation and evaluation to enhance and
progress Indian health care and services.
She is a member of the Institute for
Healthcare Improvement, Association for
Diabetes Care and Education Specialists,
and the American Public Health Asso-
ciation with primary interest groups in
applied public health statistics, epidemiol-
ogy and community health workers.

As a ref lection of her systematic
program successes, the improvements
have blended public health and clinical
medicine to effectively meet the needs of
American Indian populations.

munity as the SCHC health director,” said
Miranda. “I’m excited to be home in my
Tribal community building on existing
projects and services to elevate the health
and wellness of our Tribal community.”

family and children.
