Gabrielle Severson
Newberg High School
Gabrielle (Gabby) will attend the
University of Oregon in the fall, major-
ing in art.
She wants to have a fun, educational
experience in college. She hopes to be part
of the Native community at UO as well as
the art community. Gabby really enjoys
ceramics, painting and other art projects.
Jazlin Perez-Keene
Toledo Junior/Senior High School
Jazlin plans to attend Linn-Benton
Community College this fall or fall 2021
and study to become a social worker to
help those in need.
Dylan Edwards
Hillsboro High School
Dylan plans to attend the University
of Oregon, majoring in biochemistry to
become a family practitioner.
Jillian Barnhurst
Harrisburg High School
Jill will attend Simpson University in
Redding, Calif. She plans to take general
courses and then venture into journalism.

Mason Yarbrough
Springfield High School
Mason plans to start at Lane Commu-
nity College, majoring in social sciences
to become a sociologist and a political
scientist.
Talon Ray Grant
Taft High School
Congratulations, Talon! My youngest
free-spirited grandson. Best of the best for

Sophia is the Siletz Valley valedicto-
rian. Hunter played tenor saxophone in the
Roosevelt Jazz Ensemble.

Cleveland High School
Shayla’s goal is to attend college and
major in environmental science as well as
indigenous studies, to make a change and
bring our culture alive in everyday society.
Mary Waddell
Taft High School
Congratulations, Mary! We’re so
proud of you. Your senior year has been
challenging for sure. You did some hard
work, stayed the course and you finished!
You’re a strong, smart and beautiful young

Kalena has applied to attend the
University of Oregon in the fall to study
forensics. She loves animals and hopes to
start a dog rescue.
