functions of a successful health clinic
in a community servicing members and
residents. Provide a program in which a
Tribal member can work in the health field
and gain one-on-one experience to begin
a career. Entry level position with general
requirements. Protégé will spend three
months in each of the following areas:
Medical Support, Medical, Dental, Optom-
etry, Community Services, Prevention,
Behavioral Services and Pharmaceutical
Requirements: High school diploma
or GED. Must be a Siletz Tribal member.
Must have a valid driver’s license or ability
to obtain within 6 months of employment.

Classes begin with basic instruction and progress over the year. They also
are a refresher course for more-advanced students. Come and join other members
of your community and Tribe in learning to speak one of our ancient languages.
We also have equipment in the Cultural Department available for use in
grinding and drilling shell or pine nuts or other applications. If you need to use
the equipment, call the number below to set up an appointment.
