Digital story
workshop is a
success

As TPEP coordinator, I applied for
and the Tribe was awarded a $5,000 Story
Telling Grant from the Oregon Health
Authority Office of Equity and Inclusion.
The timing coincided with a digital
story telling workshop that provided
technical skills for creating messages for
healthy living and practices.
Joe Law, health promotion coordina-
tor/health education consultant for Port-
land Indian Health Services, conducted
a digital story workshop in Portland. He
also provided a digital story workshop
for Siletz staff.
To follow up for the Story Telling

Powerful stories were developed to pro-
mote healthy behaviors and lifestyles and
the participant’s journey to get there.

Case-Scott, member of UO band,
plays in national spotlight
Hayley Case-Scott is a freshman
member of the University of Oregon
marching band who played in the 2015
Rose Parade in Pasadena, Calif., and
at both of the Ducks’ games during the
college football playoffs, including the
national championship game on Jan. 12.
She is the first chair flute player in
the marching band, an instrument she has
played since age 10. The now 18 year old
received a four-year scholarship to UO.

Haley was the valedictorian of
the Class of 2014 at Chiloquin High
School in Chiloquin, Ore. She received
the Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Citi-
zenship Student of the Year and Music
Student of the Year awards. She aspires
to be a judge.
Haley is the daughter of Tori
Scott. She is the granddaughter of
the late Ed Jr. and Betty Case, and
great-granddaughter of the late Ed and
Cassie Case.
