Students planning to attend college
next year and who are wondering how
to pay for their education can apply for a
scholarship administered by the Oregon
Office of Student Access and Completion
(OSAC).
OSAC administers private scholar-
ship programs that cover a range of stu-
dent characteristics and interests, such as
high school attended, residency, college
major, career choice and more.
Funding for these scholarships comes
from individuals, employers, membership
organizations, professional associations
and foundations, such as the Oregon Com-
munity Foundation and the Ford Family
Foundation.
Oregon students also are encouraged
to complete and submit the Free Applica-
tion for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by
Jan. 31. This determines eligibility for
federal and state financial aid, including
the Oregon Opportunity Grant, the state’s
need-based student aid program.
The deadline to submit the OSAC
online scholarship application is March
1, 2015.
