Humetewa, continued from page 1
Her legal career includes working
in the private sector representing Tribal
government clients as a federal Indian
law and natural resources law attorney.
She is a presidentially appointed
member of the Board of Directors for the
Morris K. and Stewart L. Udall Founda-
tion and a board member for The Nature
Conservancy in Arizona and The National
Indian Justice Center.
She recently served as chairperson for
the Arizona U.S. Magistrate Judge Merit
Selection Committee.
NCAI greatly appreciates the efforts
of the president and Senate in achieving
this historic confirmation. We eagerly
anticipate many more nominations of
Native people to the federal bench and
other offices.
ONABeN, continued from page 1
encourage the development of a private
sector on their reservations.
ONABEN provides curriculum,
training and organizational consulting
focused on developing entrepreneurship
in Native communities. It serves Native
business development organizations and
entrepreneurs nationally with its Indian-
preneurship ® curriculum.
The group is driven by its mission
to support indigenous individuals, eco-
nomic development organizations and
communities by increasing opportunities
for sustainable economic growth through
culturally relevant entrepreneurial train-
ing and organizational development.
