Class of 2017

Principal Sam Tupou welcomed all of the families and friends of the 17 eighth-
graders promoting to high school on June 4.
The West Coast Boyz opened the ceremony with an honor song. Steven
Lindstrom, Siletz Valley Early College Academy valedictorian, gave words of advice
to the incoming freshmen.
The teachers gave academic improvement awards. Among those awards, Chloie
Oliphant, Siletz Tribal member, received the math award.
Each student was announced and certificates given. To conclude the evening, a slide
show of pictures of each student was shown. Crowd favorites were their baby pictures.
A reception with cake and punch followed while everyone took family photos
and visited.
