    Donald Gene Hudson – 1946-2012 wayne Leroy Case II – 1961-2012
Donald Gene Hudson,
65, of Siletz, Ore., died of
cancer on Oct. 7, 2012.
He was born Nov. 18,
1946, to Gene and Gladys
(Lane Bolton) Hudson in
Salem, Ore.
Don bravely served in
the Army from 1965 to 1967.
He was a proud member of
the 82 nd and 173 rd Airborne
Brigade in Vietnam, para-
chuting from war aircraft
more than 300 times.
Don was a member of
the Grand Ronde and Siletz
Tribes. He was dedicated
to the service of American
Indian people and worked
as a program developer to
assist other American Indi-
ans in finding employment
and developing job skills.
He was a member of
several American Indian
honor guards, NIVA (Northwest Indian Veterans Association) and Siletz VFW.
One of Don’s favorite hobbies was assembling model airplanes and sharing his
knowledge of planes with his grandchildren. When he wasn’t assembling model planes,
Don could be found sharing his love of beer and keno with his buddies at one of his
favorite bars.
He was preceded in death by his only son, Blue Hudson.
He is survived by his loving wife Margo of Siletz; his parents, Gene Hudson
and Gladys Bolton of Keizer, Ore.; his daughter Tamora Herrmann; stepchildren,
Lisa Norton and Maggie McAfee; brothers, William Hudson and Ronald Hudson;
grandchildren, Chelsey and Clifford Herrmann, Michael Norton, Josh Rilatos, Trevor
Norton, Madison McAfee and Jaylee McAfee; eight great-grandchildren; and numer-
ous nieces and nephews.
A rosary was held Oct. 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Siletz. A memorial
mass was held Oct. 11 at St. Mary’s, followed by burial of his ashes at the Paul Wash-
ington Cemetery in Siletz.
Bateman Funeral Home handled the arrangements.

Wayne Leroy Case II, 51, of Siletz,
Ore., died Oct. 9, 2012, at his home.
He was born Feb. 11, 1961, to Wayne
Leroy Case Sr. and Rosie Smith in
Tacoma, Wash.
He earned his GED in Tacoma and
lived there for 38 years before moving to
Siletz. He was married to Lizabeth John;
they had four children together. Later, he
had another daughter and moved back to
Siletz and met Joella Strong. They have
been companions since 1999.
He was a member of the Confederated
Tribes of Siletz Indians, Chippewa, Sioux
and Yakama Tribes.
He loved to go fishing and hunting.
He loved to play with his dog, Missy. He
liked to watch TV at home. He loved visit-
ing with his children and grandchildren.
He loved to play bingo.
He was preceded in death by his
mother, Rosie Smith.
He is survived by his longtime
companion, Joella Strong of Siletz;
father, Wayne Leroy Case Sr. of Siletz; chil-
dren, Venetia Rose Case, Wayne Leroy Case
III, Kathleen Marie Case and Suzanna Katie
Case, all of Tacoma, and Jacqueline Jerry of
Muckleshoot, Wash.; stepchildren, Angela
Martin, Corey Kline, Marcos Muniz-Strong
and Rosa Mason; siblings, Kevin Case
Allen McClintock
1935-2012
Born in Portland, Ore., Allen
McClintock passed away Oct. 12 after a
long illness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28
years, Marietta, nine children and many
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Allen was an Elder of the Siletz Tribe, a
veteran and retired after a career with GTE.
No services will be held.

LaPointe, both of Tacoma, and Doug Case
of Yakima, Wash.; seven grandchildren;
and numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake was held Oct. 11 at the Tribal
Dance House. A traditional funeral ser-
vice was held Oct. 12 at the Siletz Tribal
Community Center. A final burial cer-
emony immediately followed the funeral
service at the Paul Washington Cemetery
and a potluck was held at the Tribal center.
Memorial donations can be made to
Affordable Burial and Cremation, which
handled the arrangements.
