Kevin Goodell was inducted into
Phi Theta Kappa as an honor roll student
at Clackamas Community College on
May 20.
Fallon Case is a Klamath Indian and
an enrolled member of the Siletz Tribe
who graduated from Chiloquin High
School in Chiloquin, Ore. She will attend
Oregon Institute of Technology in Klam­
ath Falls, Ore., in the fall.
She also is a basketball all-star who
was selected first-team all-league and
will play this summer in the Oregon 2A
all-star game.

water Trail High School in Gresham, Ore.
He plans to enter Mt. Hood Community
College in the fall.

Blair Van Pelt
University of Idaho
Blair Van Pelt, granddaughter of Cal­
vin Van Pelt ’49, graduated summa cum
laude from the University of Idaho with
a degree in organic agriculture.
Blair also was awarded a Huygens
Scholarship and is enrolled in a master’s
degree program at Wageningen University
in the Netherlands.
The prestigious Huygens Scholarship
Programme is aimed at talented students
who want to complete their master’s stud­
ies in the Netherlands. To qualify for this
program, a student must have graduated
in the top 5 percent of students in their
study or research program.
The Huygens Scholarship Pro­
gramme is highly competitive. For the
2011 scholarship round, fewer than 150
candidates will be awarded a scholarship
out of approximately 1,700 applications.
Blair grew up in Newport Beach,
Calif., and graduated from Mater Dei
High School. She spent one year of high
school in France and served three years
in the U.S. Army after graduation. She
married Dr. Amo Hazekamp in May 2010.

10 with honors. We are extremely proud
