    Dear Tribal members:
As an election has come along, I’d like to suggest a few things. That we elect a
sub-council similar to our committees and to keep our council from being a monarchy.
A minimum term limit like three terms, then that person cannot run for two years. Also
anyone voted out cannot run for one year.
We have so much to be thankful for. How about medical for spouses. If our spouse
gets sick or hurt, a Tribal family can go broke and homeless. Bring back Chinook
Jargon classes as it’s the easiest to learn. Tribal hunts for elder meat and rights to col
lect road kills. One-time emergency loan or gifts paid off by per capita payments. Job
training without GED, jobs without driver’s licenses, GED or diplomas. A committee
for employment or business building.
We have so much to be thankful for. I just think we can do even more with all
our input.
Thanks for listening.

To the editor:
Please help! I was in a domestic vio
lence situation and was able to escape but
had to leave all of my belongings behind.
Now I have nothing! I am in need of two
small beds or bunk beds, washer and
dryer, bedding, crib and baby clothes. Any
help would be greatly appreciated! Please

vention center. There is no admission fee

Rinker now is host of a nationwide
syndicated radio talk show called Wat-
cha Got? In Oregon, Watcha Got? can be
heard in Lincoln City, Newport, Eugene,
Baker City and LaGrande on various
AM stations.
Having items appraised can help
with estate planning or deciding whether
to keep or sell an heirloom. Rinker will
professionally appraise up to three items
at a cost of $10 for one item or $25 for
three items.
This year, 50 percent of the proceeds
from the appraise-a-thon will go to
Relay For Life, an American Cancer
Society fund-raiser.
Space is filling up fast. To get your
name on the list, please call Linda Wag
ner at 541-996-2323 or 888-244-6665,

and special events and Rinker will make
other local appearances.

Comedy on the Coast features magic along with laughs
Brad Bonar
Tickets are on sale for Comedy on the
Coast at Chinook Winds on Feb. 18-19,
which presents a hilarious show with Brad
Bonar, Joe Nipote and Marc Yaffe.
Bonar is a double threat. One of the
most talented close-up magicians in the
country, he also is a gifted and funny
stand-up comedian. Having four children
means his wealth of material springs from
his observations of family life.
Bonar’s comedy is universal in its ap
peal and the magic displayed in his show
has made him a crowd favorite at every
event he attends. In the first minute of his
act, you will stare at him like a deer in
headlights out of sheer amazement. Then
just as fast he turns it around and you’re
laughing so hard your face hurts.

Nipote started his 30-year show
business career in stand-up comedy by
securing one of only five slots on HBO’s
Fifth Annual Young Comedian ’s Special,
then appeared on Showtime’s Comedy
Club Network, Laff-A-Thon, MTV Half-
Hour Comedy Hour, Comedy Central and
several other television shows featuring
stand-up comedy.
Yafee’s career in comedy began when
he opened his own traffic school in the
mid-’90s. Realizing that he could enter
tain a captive audience of traffic violators,
he decided to try his hand at a comedy
club open mic and never looked back.
Within two years, Yafee had won
the Gold Rush Comedy Competition
and started writing for George Carlin’s
Laugh.com.
Show time 8 p.m. for this age-21 -and-
older event. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and a
