by Diane Rodriquez
Health Director Judy Muschamp was named Employee of the Year at the Tribe’s
winter all-staff meeting held Dec. 3 at Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
Muschamp was nominated by Sunshine Keck, Information Systems technician at
the Siletz Community Health Clinic. Her nomination read, in part:
15 years of service: Tom Downey, Kathryn Dick, Lori Jay-Linstrom, Tony Whitehead,
Kelly Lane and Dianne McLeod. Not pictured: Marci Garrett, Kathleen Kaady,

Judy not only has all the previous challenges of managing patients, staff and
facilities, she has the added challenges associated with a new larger building, new
mechanical systems, new security requirements and changes in medical, dental and
pharmaceutical regulatory changes.
In May 2010, the Tribe held a grand opening for its new clinic building, located
on Gwee-Shut Road in Siletz. The new facility is three times bigger than the old one,
located next to the Tribal administration building on Swan Avenue.
Muschamp has been employed by the Tribe for 30 years. She also received recog
nition for this achievement at the meeting, along with the many other staff members
pictured on these pages.
