Comedy on the Coast Features Las
Vegas Entertainers for Night of Laughs
Brad Upton headlines Comedy on the Coast at Chinook Winds on Aug.27-28.
Joining Upton during this weekend of laughs are Rex Meredith and David Gee.
Upton appeared recently at Caesar’s Palace as part of the HBO Comedy Festival
and is a past winner of the Las Vegas Comedy Festival. He has been seen in concert
with Kenny Rogers, Dolly Parton, Joan
Rivers, Lewis Black and The Smothers
Brothers, and now spends a good deal of
his time as the opening act for the legend
ary Johnny Mathis.
The Seattle Times has said, “Brad
Upton has mastered the nearly impossible
task of appealing to people from the ages
of 18 to 80.” After this show, you’ll be a
Brad Upton fan.
Meredith came up in the golden age
of standup comedy with friends like Jerry
Seinfeld, Jay Leno and Jim Carrey. He
was Rodney Dangerfield’s regular open
ing act in Las Vegas. Meredith has been
the opening act for some of the great stars
in all aspects of the business, including:
Johnny Mathis, Rodney Dangerfield,
Michael McDonald, Robin Williams,
Brad Upton
Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy.
“Making people laugh and feel thoroughly entertained is what I love doing,” said
Meredith. “It doesn’t matter who I am performing for, I want to make sure they leave the
show exhausted from the entertainment. If that happens, I have connected with them.”
Gee has made folks laugh by opening for Bonnie Raitt, The Beach Boys and Ray
Charles. He’s knocked them dead at some of the most famous comedy clubs around,
including Caesar’s Palace and The Mirage in Las Vegas.
Gee was voted “Best Comedian in a Production Show” in Las Vegas for four years
in a row. Add to this his appearance at comedy events with Sid Caesar, Ray Romano and
Bob Hope and it’s easy to see why he has kept folks in stitches everywhere he goes.
Show time is 8 p.m. Tickets are $15.
