On Nov. 12, a free concert in trib­
ute to America’s veterans will be held
at 7 p.m. in the Chinook Winds Show­
room. This show is open to all ages and
requires no ticket. Seats are available
on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cake, ice cream and refreshments
will be served in the lobby of the casino
starting at 4 p.m. After the free concert,
guests will have a chance to win a trip
for two to Washington, D.C., to visit
the war memorials.
Chinook Winds wants to say “thank
you” to America's veterans, their fami­
lies and their loved ones with a com­
plimentary concert. Local radio person­
ality Roger Robertson will emcee this
patriotic event. Performances will in­
clude the All-American Orchestra featur­
ing famed New Orleans trumpet mas­
ter Bill Bachmann, former Marine Band
member Bill Montague, and former Amer­
ican Air Force Band member Kevin
Ohmart, all conducted by Keller Coker.
The Giris from Company-B (tribute
to the Andrews Sisters) also will astound
the crowd along with the Western Or­
egon University Brass Ensemble and
Kell’s Irish Pipes and Drums. All of these
fine entertainers will perform tributes
to every man and woman who has served
in the United States Armed Forces.
The Siletz Tribal Honor Guard will
bring in the colors with the Round
Stone Singers native drum group. The
Oregon Coast Veterans Association also
will provide service flags for the event.

The Chinook Winds Casino Resort
Hotel Restaurant (newly named the
Chinook Seafood Grill) will have
a new menu beginning in Novem­
ber. Stop by and check it out!
Many new games are evident on the
casino gaming floor. Some are the
first in Oregon.
All “ticket-in ticket-out” machines
soon will be situated on the lower
floor of the casino. Games that only
accept cash will be located on the
second floor. This will cause less
confusion for guests trying to
determine which machines are
“ticket-in, ticket-out.”

Winter rates are now in affect al the
golf course.

Aces Bar & Grill at the golf course
now serves daily low-calorie, low-
carb specials. Aces is establishing
a reputation in the community as
“the place to go” for a super lunch.

The staff at Chinook Winds, always
ready for competition, has 200
members signed up for yet another
fitness challenge. Stop by the
health club at the golf course any
time of day or night and you’ll see
staff members along with commu­
nity members working out.
