RUN TO THE ROGUE

On the eve of Day 2, the 13th Annual Siletz Tribes Run to the Rogue participants camped near
Humbug Mtn. on the Oregon coast (top left). North of Port Orford, driver Felicia Carmona and
co-pilot Clarinda Black escort the runners with a flashing light on top of their van to alert
motorists of the runners'presence on Hwy’. 101 (second row, far left). Crossing the Lobster Creek
Bridge are runners Mark LaBonte with eagle staff, and Anne Goddard, followed by support vans
(second row, second photo from left). Flag bearer Jeffrey Sweet joins Carol Blomstrom (with eagle
staff) and Betty Whitehead as they lead the runners down the hill to Oak Flat (third row, far left).
With Fish Hook Peak in the distance, the Run ends at Oak Flat on the banks of the Illinois River
